Gee I've been away from the site for a while! What a pleasure to see this posting. Thanks for all your birthday wishes. I had a fun day with my sister even though the temps were record cold for this date. Woke up to flurries and below freezing, but we planned to go to a great yarn shop in Fort Collins (an hour's drive north of Denver) and went anyway. Had a great time, incl. lunch, am teaching sister to knit. Dinner in the evening at a local bistro near home with sister/bro-in-law/husband and a gift certificate to a local day spa. Couldn't have been better except for some sun and warmth! Lucy we were going to Chicago this week: theatre, visit with other sister, Notre Dame/USC game and business for my husband. But... he woke up Tuesday morning sick and we canceled the whole thing. We don't think he has the flu, but better to keep germs home than spread them around. So, anyway, it's warming up here again and I've put a few plants out for the day. Santa Rosa in a bright n/w window chock full of buds, Heloise has one bud, Cherub was struggling so badly I cut her back and put her in the basement, Peach Versicolor cut down by half, in a downstairs n/w window. I'll give her a chance to do something yet. Christmas cacti are budding! Diane
