I don't believe you said calendula! My first seed lesson from my Mom was a calendula! It's an annual here in our zone. It drops its seeds and germinates in the spring. Cheery yellow and orange flowers with some brown centres, small daisy-like flowers...used as a very old remedy for varicose veins. And they have rhizomes, Moccasins? This morning he/she left me two roses on the ground to put in a vase! Yes, from my Knock Out rose...at least it produces flowers quickly. These bunnies are multiplying..someone saw the mother the other day...4sighted so far between the houses. One of my fitness instructors has this procedure done on both legs. She has bad valves in both legs, had hers done about 2 weeks apart, maybe 12 - 18 months ago. Unfortunately, she is having it done again, the first leg 2 weeks ago and the other this week. For some reason, it didn't work properly but I don't know enough about it to explain why. I would be happier to ask her tomorrow. Her issue is with valves, and it's something she has to address periodically and always will, so it may not relate to your issue. I can tell you that immediately after the procedure she is up and around, even teaching although she is limited in what she can do - a quick demo in class only, but walking, stairs, normal activity is not limited.

My sister had this, and from what I understand it is basically varicose veins of the ovaries or "ovarian hemmorhoids. She had laparoscopic surgery to "embolize" them whatever that means. I think it's like the treatment for varicose veins where they either cauterize the vein or block it. It worked really well for her. The surgery slowed her down for a couple days, but then she was up and running again. Good luck; hope this helps in some way.
