Hi deedeebaker yep i suffer from anxiety all the time i have real bad panic attacks also but its not because of a job its because im 46 and no longer working my kids are grown up and i feel useless i started with bad heart palpatations initially feeling like i couldnt breath i shut myself away for a long time im still not right but iv started feeling a bit better since i joined this forum i have begun to feel like i am not alone i got advice from here about the palps and i now take a magnesium and calcium suppliment which has stopped the palps and that alone makes me feel easier i hope when you have found your feet a little your self confidence will improve and u wont suffer so much with the anxiety, if you were not good enough for the job hey you wouldnt have got it gud luck.

hi jaynelouise, I'm sorry you're feeling as bad as you are. If you have a definate diagnosis of fibromyalgia I would suggest you go to one of the forums. There is lots of help from fellow sufferers and someone there might be able to give you some advice. Just type in "fibromyalgia symptoms" and you will find a large site www.fibromyalgia-symptoms.org. The anxiety and the depression might be associated with menopause or a combination of both fibro and menopause. I had been having really awful feelings of anxiety and dread and was given supplements from a really good health food shop in my area. I was told to take b vitamins and magnesium and I can say it has helped. I was diagnosed with FMS about 9 years ago but my symptoms come and go so I don't know if it was right. I have also had really bad menopause symptoms for about 2 years so the combination of both is horrendous. I too have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for 9 years and sometimes it is just overwhelming. I'm sorry I can't come up with anything else for you but I hope it helps somewhat. Hi elly, Where are you in your trip through menopause? I can't imagine that the decaf coffee is causing your problems. But......I really think the amount of caffeine in decaf is really variable. In fact, one time, I got some that seemed totally caffeinated. I do know that the decaf bothers my stomach just as much as the caffeinated stuff. I also know that if our GI tracts are stimulated, our brains are also stimulated, and can keep us awake and cause night problems. In fact, the nights that my GI tract was going crazy, I was too!! When do you drink your 2 cups? If before noon, I'd say don't worry about it being that. I also would quit eating anything after about 6:30p.m. if possible. Our GI tracts are called our "second brains" because they secrete tons of neurochemicals, just as our brains do. So try to keep your GI tract calm at night. When I was in the middle of perimenopause, I could pretty much count on a panic attack every night. Not fun! They are sooooo real. No one could tell me I wasn't dying! Sometimes those sleep medications can do the opposite of what you think they're doing for you. I'm afraid I couldn't find much to keep my nighttime panic attacks from happening......except to treat my GI tract better. Also......after having so many of them, I started realizing that they weren't going to kill me, and that helped a little. Have you ever tried breathing into a paper bag, as soon as your panic starts? I found that that helped too. Sometimes our biochemicals go a little haywire during perimenopause, and can actually cause an alkalosis in us that brings on a panic attack. Breathing into a paper bag can help reverse that. Have you tried taking something like Estroven? I hope this helps a little. You have my sympathy!

I sure see what you mean, but supposedly a dog's attention span is short, so you certainly don't give him a reward as soon as you go back in. You catch him in the act of negative acting out. It's like catching a dog in the act of peeing in the house. I don't buy into not verbally reprimanding a dog when you catch him in negative things. That's why I said 'supposedly'. But I do buy into NOT yelling at them when they bark inappropriately. They just think you are barking along. LOL. Neither would you make over him, or in any way make him think you were happy with him until he settled and you gave him a diversion. Then rewarded him. Tubby needed me to come back in repeatedly for a week or two. It was easy for me, because I work outside in a greenhouse range on our property. I could hear him acting out. He really, really needed to know I was coming back, I suppose. He's a smart little guy, and he caught on. I was also in a position I could gradually space out the time I was away from him until he got used to me leaving him for longer and longer intervals. He's up to four hours now and gets into no mischief, other than counter surfing when nobody's looking, and that's pretty typical of iggy's and we may never break him of that. But, we're working on it. After he got comfortable and trusting with me leaving for periods of time, my saying "Stay, I'll be back" seems to prepare him for the extended 'home alone' experience. He seems to understand I won't be back immediately and usually runs to his bed to stay until he gets bored. I'm sure no expert in dog training. But, Tubby has been the only one we've had who had real issues with being left alone in our house. I even got a crate for him, but immediately when I left his sight, the tail and cage chewing begain and that just wasn't safe for him or an option.
