I am look at buying a new furnace and a/c.

Trane unit a xv95 & A/c _ xr15 ( 410a)

tuh2b080a9v3va 49,5000 btu/ 2nd 76,000 btu var. speed -

Replacing a 24 year old trane furance 80% & 80,000 btu input

in columbus ohio 2,300 sqf home

First question on old furnace if 80% and 80,000 btu input

that means i am heating my house with about 64,000 btu

is this good rough guess?

first deal: aka quote

furance:trane xv95 tuh2b080a9v3va 95%

ac: xr15 15 seer 2.5 ton

aprilaire 2210 air filter: $395.00

labor contract $717 10 labor / 10 parts factory free

t-stat- unknown progamble

installed : $ 7432.00

5932 after tax credit

good price?

second deal

xr95 76,000 btu

xr15 15 seer 2.5 ton

aprilaire 2210 $395

labor 10 year $747

t-stat prog.

7160.00 installed

Any thoughts on price just $300 more for var speed system?

Does a/c he quoted seem small 2.5 tons for 2,300 sqf home?

Seem to be real good company form BBB, another source.

Are there any question i should be asking the about the system from company?

Waiting on load calculation from guy said would email.

I punched into load calculator online got 92,000 btu for heat and 4.2 tons and different one i got 81000 btu and ac 3.2 ton.using cheap internet calculator's.

opinions?

I am planing to get 2 more quotes from two other good companies to see how price differs with same exact setup.

What is the opinion on Goodman furnace and a/c?

I am have my local gas company come out , the do energy audit for $50.00, blower do test , therm o imaging , co test. WE use 950 Ccf of gas yearly . The gas company will some times offer up 400 rebate for replacing a furnace with high efficiency rate , or add insulation to attic - they give rebates if do what ask in way the ask to do be done.

cool stuff!
