wood floor over slab with or without radiant heat

I had posted a message a week or so ago asking for feedback re laying a hardwood floor over a slab and did get a reply which was helpful but since then I stumbled over a local company that installs wide plank flooring in pine , hemlock , ash and maple directly over the slab with little prep work . the product comes in widths from 4" to 20" and consists of a 1" thickness that is grooved on the back to prevent cupping . The slab is either strapped or has the strapps embedded in the slab itself . It is also used over wood subfloors and is recommeded for use with radiant floor systems . The company has been in business for 20 years and has had no bad reports from the BBB or other agencies .

Has anyone out there heard of this flooring in their area , I'm in Nova Scotia . Oh , their website is www.originalwideplank.com
