Funny,.....I thought I'd see a thread like this on the Up-State NY Forum. You're on the OTHER side of the country! Well, We were blessed with 6 days of no electricity.I have never seen so much damage caused by ice. Huge, mature trees, snapping like toothpicks under the weight of their icy laden branches. It looks like the aftermath of battle. People's rooves crushed in, cars, wires dangling in the breeze. Worst of it is cleaned up, and most NY-ers are with power again. All in all,...... Twas kind of nice excercising survival skills, (cooking on the woodstove, innovative methods of cleaning dishes and one's self), and most enjoyable was time spent together for a change, huddling around the woodstove like real families used to,.before the age of electronics! Sounds like you've solved your own problem : ) The only ones that I have a lot of problems with are very green cuttings in water. I have better results with them in soil but still not great. How long is the cutting that you rooted horizontially? I've done it before with cuttings that were 6" and under and they do grow but I have problems when I try to cut the "log" into individual plants. I guess I could leave it be but then there would be so much growth in a single container. I wonder why you are ending up with so many mushy cuttings? Maybe it would help if you added a few drops of B1 or Superthrive to your rooting containers? Although you seem to be doing well with just potting them up. I wish I had the room to pot all my cuttings because the growth that I get in soil is much nicer then the foliage that grows in water. I usually end up cutting everything back when I pot them. Karyn

ilmbg- It's a little hard for me to answer your question because, when you say the song is in "my music file" is this the actual file that you have downloaded and it's in a folder or what? Since I also don't know what version of Windows and Media Player you're using, or what the location of the music file is, I can't give you step-by-step directions. I don't know if it will work, but it won't hurt anything to try. I was simply trying to give you a basic computer lesson. You can try to drag the file, or cut-and paste-it. Hopefully one of these will work. Another basic computer skill: When you download something, the destination location on your computer should be automatically listed at the top of the download window: write it down if you have to before clicking to download the file. If you later can't remember where a file or folder is, you just need to go to the Start button, click on Search, and type in as much as you can remember of the file name or folder name. The start the search. It should only take the computer a minute or so to find it. I also have some general advice; please take this in the right way. You need to get some basic computer skills through a book, a course, or a friend. You are wasting hours of your valuable time on stuff that should take a couple of seconds to accomplish. Working with computers involves certain skills that are sometimes only obvious after you've done them a few times. I had my own share of frustrations when I got started, but I got tired of muddling through and got a "Computers for Dummies" book years ago and worked my way through it. Do yourself a favor and try something like that.
