Looking at the code it seems the link is coded as a form button instead of a hyperlink. That's why there's no right click or no new tab/window.

you did not mention which email client you use??? depending on your email client you may have to set it for rich text and then the icons will show up I know that is what you do in hotmail. In hotmail at the very top there is a drop down box with the options rich text, plain text and edit in html, set it on rich text that enables the new bar with various icons and options like font, size, color, bold, and also an icon that looks like a globe with a chain link in front of it, that is the insert hyperlink icon. However you need to tell us which type of email you use because it can be different on that one.

One firefox extension that works is 'Copy as HTML Link'. After installing the extension you underline any word or words on a page and right click on it and select 'Copy as HTML Link' from the context menu and go to your post and paste what was copied where you want the link. Because iVillage really doesn't want anyone using HTML. Those are code sequences you'd use if you were making a web page for someone. I really never understood why, but maybe they think it might conflict with the horrendous amount of advertizing they stick in our faces. I often wonder if they actually make any $$ from it.
