exactly right ..treat like a vanda needs a lot of warmth , humidity and not a lot of fuss. It is a nice price and a nice hybred...If you are lacking humidity here we leave it bare root hanging from a basket free flowing air.. You may stick some spagnum in with some coconut husks and some coal or pumous rocks ...This helps keep some moisture as the plant does not hold water . I read a few posts from Europe with vandas once a week 20 mins in a vase with your fertilizer...Careful not to get the base wet if you try this method as it can cause root rot then leaves start turning yellow falling off till finaly you have very few left. It needs a good amount of morning sun and less in the afternoons. Overall if you maybe check out the thread on the vase here you may learn some great ideas ..Hope this helps. Good Luck..Ps bring inside as temps drop below 48 degrees or so ..I bring them in the bathroom and hang them on a curtain rod with some water in the tub ...

The flowers for me, get up about 2ft, with foliage about 12 inches tall. I think they are pretty, and often reseed for me if I don't trim them back after flowering.

Oh, Nora, what beautiful gifts from your sweet husband! It pays to serve Jesus, doesn't it... Money can't buy the precious relationship you have with your dear family. What a difference His love makes in our hearts. It may take some time, but God can bless your dad's tomato plants and cause them to produce abundantly even if they don't grow to their normal size. He did that for a scrawny one I almost pulled out one summer. It never grew very large but eventually became loaded with the sweetest tomatoes of the whole crop! :) My strength isn't what it used to be, either, Nora... I look back and shake my head in wonder when I think of lifting Mother in and out of everything for three years. We CAN do all things through Christ. He gives us what we need when we need it. I did my hedge and finished the yard. The pollen in the springtime causes my allergies to flare up big time. I think that's the hardest part of working outside right now for me! :) I know you're grateful to have your precious mother another Mother's Day... When Mom began to hold food in her mouth, Hospice told me her body's ability to process/digest food was slowing down and would eventually stop... It is heartbreaking to see this happen... You feel so helpless. The meds will help keep her comfortable. You've given your dear parents such love, support, and comfort and literally provided a haven of peace for them in their old age...
