I have friends and relatives who are doctors of various sorts, including medical doctors. From such people and from my own providers, I've learned that very often diagnoses of diseases and conditions are nuanced and often tentative and uncertain, and appropriate actions or treatment options are often the same and more. Few physicians in few situations will feel comfortable saying "if this, then always that", unless the question is "Should I turn my light off when I go to bed" Few matters physicians deal with are that simplistic. My impression in reading what you wrote was that it was unlikely you were talking about something about which you had education or training to deal with. Because your words suggested far too much certainty than I've come to expect from experts I know when discussing issues that are nuanced. There are not "quite a few health professionals" who visit on this forum. There are a lot of pretenders who avoid answering what their qualifications are when asked, meaning, they have none. There's one ER physician who happens by periodically who is generous with her time (I believe it's a female doc) but who understandably keeps her comments at a high level and general. Except to debunk egregious comments made by pretenders who seem to do so regularly, Expert advice is available from public sources, and many often refer to these. Not as personal opinions necessarily but to share the expert comments. Believe words from experts with scientific, medical or public health qualifications, not from media personalities or those who work in news or editorial positions. .

I am wondering if your tomatoes were too green. ? I always waited until they started turning to a lighter green, maybe even with a touch of pink. ( I LOVE Fried Green Tomatoes.) I think your diverticulitis might have been caused by too-green tomatoes because I know I have to watch not to have too many hot green peppers or else mine flares-up, so why not somwthing in green tomatoes. And, I can’t eat green bell peppers at all; once they’re red all is fine, just not green. They are all the same family.
