I have a question about "tables". The more rows, the further down in the post it displays. Know how to get rid of that?

Hi Karen... Yes, talked with Rosemary and it seems it's just dust on some of my plants. I love to take pictures, and I have a photo album devoted solely to my plumeria collection! I have a Pacific Pearl that's going to bloom soon so I'll take a picture of that for you as well. (Didn't you get one?)My family thinks I'm nuts (in regards to going from zero to 20 plumerias in the course of 4 months)but I don't care...I have my plants :) I hate living in the city, so the plumerias give me my own little paradise to escape to...Soon I'll have a tropical jungle in my backyard, but at least it will be pretty and smell good :)

Tony, I just love the way you describe everything. You really get your feelings of excitement across. It motivates me when I read your posts. Once again, our tastes and styles are matching up. We are putting a movie room in our basement too. We are just in the planning stages but it looks like it will be in the same location as yours. What size is yours? What kind of tv is that? Are you happy w/ the picture? Who usually wins when you play darts? I stink at it, but I try. :) The tractor, wow! My dh would give his left arm for one of those. We are going to wait a while for that. I'm sure it makes clearing the land easier and fun. "It's been a nightmare to keep the red dirt out of the house." I feel your pain. That red clay is impossible to get off our basement floor. Being in our new home is better than I could have ever imagained. All of the things I worried so much about seem so silly now.

Thank you all! You are making me so happy. :) I am not really a cook and have to say that the new space is inspiring me. I love being in the kitchen. Roserx - the faucet is Grohe's Bridgeford. It is awesome. Megaul - the window is an Andersen 400 series. The sides are casements and the center is a fixed picture. The dimensions are 6 feet wide by 3 feet tall. We originally discussed a taller window but it didn't work out and now I am so glad - with the taller backsplash behind the sink we get to see more granite and we don't have all the water splash on the window! :) I love my new window! :)

Thanks for your responses! I really appreciate your trying to visualize this without photos. I had been thinking about trying to use a little bit of all the colors in the first floor--just little splashes of vivid color in a softer background. But that suggests a mosaic approach, which is often beautiful but not usually what I think of as mellow. steff, I've not heard of using wood as a backsplash. It sounds lovely, but I would have thought it difficult to keep clean. Maybe a well-oiled plywood, trimmed with cutoffs from the resin counters...intriguing... Can you suggest any examples of modern wood backsplashes? dianalo, I love the idea of a 3D relief tile adding texture, as the counters and cabinets are both very smooth. But I wonder about colors. Wouldn't I want to tie in some colors from the rest of the open-plan area? Also, how would you use sheet glass as a backsplash? I'm thinking about how to affix it to the wall without the adhesive showing. I used to do some stained glass work, and I can see how a Mondrian-like geometric patchwork would be really beautiful. Thanks!

maybe take out the spaces and make it one contigious string because if you use line breakes or carriage returns here when gardenweb server parses the form data it adds in breaks and suddenly you have added breaks ontop of carriage returns and anyhow view source here and maybe you will see your errors... I changed cf/lf to wrap and removed extra blank spaces =

well, the pics did show in preview and for a while in the final post. Anyway, i suppose using win notepad is the issue. maybe NOBR will help.
I am still not sure how the lf /cr's got inserted before the table; not to mention why the increase of number of rows increased the lf & cr's.
OK, i see, by using a cr after a TD line or TR, these get inserted before the table! just weird, thats all.

No, i think the question was about why does it show a long space before the actual table and the reason, I think, is because of the way this forum works, it's counting the tag as a line in an attempt to make ordinary text posts here more WYSIWYG. You might try to put your table , row and cell tags all on one line and see if that makes a difference.
