Tim ~ Your website is really nice. Look forward to seeing pictures from you once you get your camera. You'll get addicted to using your digi camera. I love using ours. Mistiaggie ~ I enjoyed your website also. It's always neat to see other peoples flowers, homes, etc. I did not like that snake in one of your pictures. YIKES! Have you been to Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary? That place is really cool. We went a few years ago and reall enjoyed the primitive atmosphere and the peacefulness. Some old Florida still left. I do have my own website, which is where my pics, etc. are all stored. I use a program called Note-tab Pro for making web pages, using html code. I just updated some pages this past Sunday and it takes hours but it is exciting and fun. I still have some work to do with text as I changed things and see that the text under pictures is not as large as I'd like it to be, so that we can read it. : -) My DH got into computers first and he got me started and now we're both addicted. He has inspired me and encouraged me and given me some help when I need it. He thought of the name FlowerLady for my online name as I am always out in the flowers. Some of my pages are several years old and I don't have some of the same flowers, others have taken their place. I do have more pages to make and upload to website, as time permits. I work part-time managing an antique shop, and am out in the garden as much as possible when I'm not working, then there's a thing called housekeeping, I call it homecaring, and it's also something I'm working on as we declutter our tiny cottage. Let's see more web sites as I really enjoy visiting them and getting ideas. There are lots of wonderful gardens out there and wonderful gardeners that have worked on them. Each one is a work of art. Mine is humble and a continual work in progress. FlowerLady Here is a link that might be useful: FlowerLady's Plum Cottage Gardens

I have used the free jetAudio for about 5 years now and I am very happy with it. Now, I am no music aficionado but enjoy a bit of internet radio occasionally. You can see from the blurb I pasted in below what it can do. Each of us has our own ideas on good and bad so you may need to experiment with a few. From jetAudio web site:- JetAudio is integrated multimedia software made up of a single compact rack. Not only does it play various music and video files, it also has features such as CD burning, recording, and conversion to other file formats. You can create your own Internet broadcast by using JetCast, provided with JetAudio, and you can play all major file formats, including WAV, MP3, MP3Pro, OGG, WMA, MPEG, AVI, WMV, MIDI, RM, and video and audio CD tracks. Convert among audio file formats, and record analog audio to various formats.tag editing for MP3, OGG, and WMA files; sound effects including wide, reverb, and x-bass; multichannel sound output; speed control of audio playback; cross-fading for a smooth transition between two songs; a skinnable user interface; and synchronized lyrics display (karaoke) for MIDI and MP3 files.supports for video conversion for iAUDIO U3, supports ts,tp file extension, and includes video format converter to AVI - end of pasted article. Grady is right of course, your sound depends on the quality of your speakers system or head phones and sound card. I have my computer connected to my stereo system. Don't know what I was searching but I landed on this webpage showing me how to change my default image viewer from Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to my choice. I like to use Picasa so I choose to follow the steps which seemed to work. Unfortunately the same thing happens, I have to go into My Computer and click on the folder with the pictures on it. I've still got the same question going through my mind.....why doesn't Picasa (or WPF) automatically open up and play the CD when I insert it in the CD drive? When I put in a CD about how to use my new blender, it opens up automatically and starts playing. Ginny Here is a link that might be useful: Ask Leo

Just want to add that, in looking further, I did find the following remote (see link below). I haven't finnshed researching it yet, but it appears it will do what I want---and much more. It also costs much more than the other remote I was looking at. The concern that prompted my first post here was simply being able to control turning on the TV, changing channels, and increasing or decreasing the volume of the TV when the cable box is in the cabinet, behind closed doors. My understanding is that I need an RF remote to accomplish that. The remote referenced at the bottom of this thread apparently will do this. It's also approximately $180 more than the first remote I found. So DH and I will have to determine whether it's worth laying out the additional dollars to decrease the number of remotes we need to use. Probably going to have to table this decision until we get further along building our home and see how many and how expensive unexpected expenditures we have. I certainly don't expect you to make the decision for me, but can you confirm that the two Harmony remotes I have linked---one in this post and one in a post above---will enable me to communicate with at least some of my components within a cabinet with the RF remotes and the hub that comes with each of them?
