Hi Jim: I forget to ask what brand of brewer's yeast you take, and how you make it yummy? I will have to try organic cow milk with my Brewer's yeast ... I gave soy milk & B.Y for my kid and it wrecked her sleep many times. It also wrecked my sleep if taken in the evening. When I googled for "soy" within gardenweb, many women reported it screwed up their hormones: make them depressed, moody, and weepy. Plus it messes up one's thyroid (hypothyroid). Some info. on soy from below link: " (Thanks to theWeston Price Foundation): http://www.greenhealthspot.com/2010/05/is-soy-making-you-fat.html High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children. Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders. In test animals soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth. Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women. Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease. Vitamin B12 analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually increase the body's requirement for B12. Soy foods increase the body's requirement for vitamin D. Fragile proteins are denatured during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein. Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines. Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods. Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum which is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys.

The purpose is to let the occupant know that there is only a minute left. ("Maybe they will want it on longer.") So, along the line of Linelle's reasoning: "Like flickering lights at the end of intermission so you know it's time to get back to your seats? It makes no sense for a bathroom fan, esp. since wouldn't you be out of the bathroom by then and it's just running to clear all the moisture out? It sounds like a malfunction, not a feature." That a girl, Linelle! I suppose that for a light (one commenter on some or this timer for lights appreciated that it gave a heads up. My TV does that <g>. But, as Linelle expresses, it makes no sense for a FAN. My better half thinks that it's unnecessary and also wonders about the capacitor or motor of the fan. I think that Lutron makes a fan/light countdown to fit all. They probably don't see any point in making TWO different but almost identical countdown timers. I'm going to keep it and do this, using it only as a backup feature for when someone is in a tear in the morning. We'll set it for, say, 30 minutes. Most showers last only 3-5 minutes. That allows another 15 minutes of exhaust fan time to clear the moisture from the bathroom. Unless someone has left for work or is drinking heavily at 7 AM, the fan/light switch can be turned off manually with just a tap. If the person is scatterbrained, the fan will countdown and turn off after the pulse to load warning. It won't happen that often. I do want it as a "fail safe" because three times lately, the gusto mucho fan and light have been left on for hours :-| In the summer, we usually leave the windows open all the time. In the winter, we also leave them open after a shower. We have a "tight" house, but also heat with inexpensive stuff (relatively). Also, if a window is left open in February, it gets your attention. When we leave the house in the winter, we are more aware of leaving things like windows open or frying pans on high. It is an unnecessary dumb feature for a bathroom fan, but again, I suppose it comes from one switch for different uses, and the light people who want the LIGHTS OUT warning like the feature. Thanks for all your input, folks!

Whew! I’ve finally recuperated from the onslaught. We had a blast! The pig came out perfect, the weather was great and everything went smoothly. Here are a few pictures I took: Dawn Saturday morning. Pig went in the smoker at 4 PM Friday. We all stayed up until midnight then DH & I went to bed and slept until 4 AM. We got up and relieved the midnight to 4 AM smoker crew and started our day. Almost Done Done Inhaling & Decorated RedNeck Style. Go Patriots! Last year it was Hawaiian Style complete with lei. My cousin carving the Pig. Saturday midnight...end of a long day

RN, I think DS is 6’3”. Not sure what her height actually is but she’s wearing flats in the photo. I’m 5’2” and DH is almost 6’5”. Fortunately our sons got their height from DH’s side. My older DS is not as tall…he’s about 6’ and more stocky. Both very handsome, as you can see.
