Click on the browse button to locate the file on your computer. * Image uploads are not enabled for followup messages. * The Subject of your post should describe your image, i.e., "Lilium superbum." * It is illegal to post copyrighted material. Only post images which you have created. * Image files may not be larger than 60 kilobytes. * Images must be either in GIF or JPEG format and have one of the following file extensions: .gif, .jpeg or .jpg * File names containing only letters, numbers, dashes or underlines will work best, such as: "im-1_a.jpg" File names containing special charcters like #, @ or %, may cause problems. * File uploads work with Netscape version 2.0 and above, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, but they do not work with many of the browsers that claim to be compatible with Netscape, including earlier versions of Internet Explorer. OK guys, open the free Photobucket account then upload your pics to it, copy and paste the 3rd line of info...the HTML tag from under the pic (it may show all the time but if not it will appear underneath when you place the cursor over the pic you need to copy)into the message box here on GWeb, click preview to see if all is OK, if not then adjust, finally hit submit to sent it through. It took a year for me to decide to make a website just for Gary. I first made a site of photos of my flowers and it grew. Then I made another using old family photos that my nephew had scanned, just to entertain family members. It was simply busy work to get through the first anniversary and to learn just how everything worked. Then I finally made the 'real' website. I deliberately chose not to use last names or a lot of personal information. The peculiar thing is, I didn't show any of it to DH until a month after it was finished. I've noticed that on my server, looking over the websites of others, that many people start a website and then either lose interest or forget how to go back. Be sure to write down any URL for the site and ALL passwords. A little prompt or two on what you're doing might be a good thing to write down, too. The good thing about the websites that have 'templates' is that you can easily delete and add at will if you change your mind. An easy way to start is to decide on a title for the page or pages, then write out a little text. Choose a couple of photos and get going!

Hi Connie, I'm no expert on this, but I am in somewhat the same situation as you are. I have a website tht I paid someone to design for me. They registered the domain name that I wanted. I, also, need to make frequent changes, but when I asked the designer about this, she said that I would have to go through her each time. I found that unacceptable, so I decided I'd better learn how to do it myself. My ISP, Earthlink, gives me some free web space, so I figured I'd use that to practice and, when I got it down, I'd tackle the paid site. However, on the free space, they assign you the address, you don't pick it. Mine is http://earthlink.net/~johnson29/. Yours would probably be something like http://aol.com/~sprtn185/. To get SpoiltRottn.com, you would have to register that domain. You will have to pay to register, and for someone to host your site. Prices for this vary. Do a Google search for web hosting, or domain registration, and I'm sure you'll find quite a few. I use Netscape Page Composer to create the pages. It's easy to use, and free. I then use WS-FTP to upload the pages to the web site. WS-FTP is also free, and they have a tut on how to use it. You will, then, "fill in the blanks" on WS-FTP with the information you will get from the hosting company, and it'll be on the internet.
