I just thought I'd offer this update on the mysterious change in scroll wheel light color. Background: I realize now that it was soon after I bought the mouse in question that I also downloaded the Opera browser, which I had previously uninstalled because I was getting along so well with FF (and still am). Today I was doing some "spring cleaning" and decided to uninstall Opera once again since I'm finding that I can get FF to do what I want more easily. Well, a few hours after I uninstalled Opera I noticed that the scroll wheel was back to its original blue !! I mean.... I know Opera is a great browser and is very customizable and everything, but I didn't know it would go so far as to change the color of my scroll wheel light from blue to Opera's trademark red ! ;-) ;-)

If it's like the one I used, you should be able to put your fabric between the two pieces of the scroll dowels. Mine separate completely. When you get your fabric lined up, put the side bars back on and tighten the screws. Getting it even and straight can take a little time, so take your time and gradually tighten the screws. Roll your work so that your needlework rolls inward - not back. It will stay cleaner. I personally prefer the fabric style scroll frames. I've never used the velcro style. Good luck.

The scrolling feature normally is herky-jerky until after the full page has loaded. If you have a slow internet connection such as dial-up, that can be a bothersome problem. Years go, web developers were more kind to dial-ups, but as time passed, the graphic content and ads increased until many webmasters began to program as though everyone had unlimited speed. There is a second hidden feature: the way the internet servers are programmed to operate. The system can tell when it has connected to a slow speed customer and will reduce the amount of time slices allocated to that user, the thinking being that it will be able to keep up and thereby can pass more bits total by giving more play the faster connections. It doesn't always work out that way when the system gets busy; The faster connections gets the lion's share and the dial-up service becomes slower than normal.

No luck... * Tried installing DELL's update driver, for my computer, from their site. * Had their support-system scan my computer, but nothing found. * I'm out of warranty...I wonder if this is part of it? * Can't find anything with answers on their Dell communities forums. * Tried FOUR times to install their Touchpad update, but it "Fails" every time. * They have a "Log" I can read of the failure, but it's Greek to me! * I can't open "Device-Manager" either, & I'm logged-on as full-permission Administrator!!!! Arrrggh! * Copy of the log: Probably shows my multiple Install attempts!!! Thanks for ANY help!!!!!!
