Brother in law's wife driving me nuts
Comments (36)I couldn't say whether the OP's sister-in-law is rude, but judging by the OP's responses to other posters, she could sure use a few hours of charm school. It's not possible to control the direction a thread might take. This is a forum and that means discussion - sometimes people discuss things you'd rather not talk about. Tough noogies! I want my house to feel friendly and I hope my friends and family feel welcome and comfortable. I have nice and new expensive furniture. So what! When you visit me, go ahead and put your feet up on the coffee table, sit back, take a sip of your coffee or wine and let's have a nice chat....See MoreYoung wife 40. Sudden death
Comments (3)I'm so sorry for your loss. Sometimes I to think the kids are handling the death better than I am. One year before he passed, I graduated with my masters degree and have a really good job and career, I to feel that my husband didn't get a chance to enjoy the fruits of my labor, especially all that he sacrificed and had to put up with while I was in school. I have a 14 year old boy to which has had difficulty with dad's death, especially at his age. Dad and our son were just starting to bond on a adolescent level when he passed. My heart aches for him that he needs his dad right now. I know we are not given more than we can handle, so someone must think I'm a strong person, at times I don't feel so strong. My kids are my life and my focus, if it weren't for them I would be a mess....See MoreHow Can I Help My Brother? (Excruciatingly Long: Sorry)
Comments (3)I don't want to ignore his grief & rage, but I don't want to aggravate it, either. That's the tough issue. Sylvia, you're a loving and thoughtful sister. I wish I had some good advice to give you, but all I can do is quote an unusually fine and caring psychiatrist, a friend who told me after my daughter Jill died that some people grieve silently, and in fact withdraw into their grief, and we have to let them do it. I myself dealt with my grief by talking and crying (and talking and crying), but I had to let this person grieve in his own way. It's fortunate that your brother has a strong and loving wife. My sympathy to all of you. Susan...See MoreHelp - gift for my wife
Comments (5)If you haven't already purchased this machine, let me suggest you check into the Brother SE-350. It's a newer model, and has a regular threading system,. The 270D has a threading cassette, which did NOT garner very good reviews. It can be frustrating, as the threading cassette is prone to malfunctions. The SE 350 is basically the same machine, but more trouble free, and newer model. You can get it on Ebay for anywhere from $199 to $350 or at WallyWorld for about $379. Another option is the HE-240 and it's the same exact machine as se-350 but it has a built in USB port so no need for PED Basic. A good deal at HSN for $499 or I have seen them for less on Ebay. I had this machine before I upgraded and it was great. A perfect machine for a beginner. To answer your original question, Yes, you will need the PED basic or a Box to transfer and download designs on the 270D, it doesn't have a USB. I got PED Basic from Ken's on Ebay for about $119. Good luck, and you're a very nice husband buying her an embroidery machine!!...See Moreada33r
