Fingernail polish does not work! However, six weeks of diligently applying duck tape (heated by a match prior to application to get the glue sticky so that it would stay on for several days) after first dabbing ultra colloidal silver spray (can be purchased at whole foods) with a q-tip. Keep the tape on for as long as it will stick. The longer you leave it on, the more progress you will make each time. Soak feet and pumice the wart area each time you have to change the tape. The warts will look like black hard seeds when the get close to the surface. Six weeks of this and I was rid of 15 warts on the left foot, and 5 on the right. I had surgergy to get rid of the first wart. That almost killed me, there was no way I could have 20 warts removed by surgery. This was a much better alternative, and it absolutely worked, but you have to be diligent. Duck tape alone didn't work. The process didn't start working until I added the colloidal silver, and until I heated the tape. The glue from the tape coupled with the silver irritates the wart to the point that it works it's way out of the foot. Hope this helps!

Over on the Container Gardening Forum we are discussing proper watering and plastic vs. clay pots... (yes, I sneak over there sometimes to learn from Al and the group)... and I recently learned a little tidbit of information that I didn't know. It seems that even when a container's medium feels almost dry to the touch, there is actually still some good moisture that the roots can pull from it. In one post, Al wrote: "How to water is a subject dear to my heart. On its face, it seems pretty simple and straight forward, so how can you mess it up - right? Well, proper watering technique is inextricably tied to your choice of soils, and actually, to a lesser degree, your choice of containers. You cannot water properly if you have a soil water-retentive enough that you need to be concerned about root rot when you DO water." He went on, adding some parts of a past thread on watering, the link to which I've added at the end: * A generalization - the more often your planting needs water, the healthier the roots and the plant will be, as long as you don't forget to water. The need to irrigate frequently indicates good aeration and drainage, which insures that air is returning to the soil before anaerobic conditions cause the death of fine rootage. Watering also forces old, CO2-rich air, sulfurous gasses, and methane from the soil and pulls O2 rich air in behind it. * Don't water on a schedule. Water when the rootzone is first dry to the touch. This can mean watering new plantings (shallow roots) when the lower parts of the container are still wet, but for established plantings, water when the soil at the drain hole feels dry - or use the sharpened dowel trick. Your sense of touch registers 'dry soil' when soils are still about 40% saturated. Plants, however, can still extract water from conifer bark and peat down to about 30% saturation - after that, water is held too tightly for plants to access. * Your soil should allow you to water at every watering so that water drains freely from the drain hole. The best way to water a container is: Wet the soil until you 'feel' the container is about to start draining from the bottom and stop. The first water allows dissolved solids to dissolve into solution, and the second watering flushes them from the soil. * If you cannot water as described above w/o risking root rot, your soil is inappropriate. The brined pork roast recipe is mine, well, it's actually a Cooking Light recipe, but it's become one of my favorites. If I were going to try to hold it in the crockpot, I'd either skip the apple cider reduction, or I'd make extra marinade to warm the pork in so it didn't dry out. Maybe undercook it a little or even cook it completely in the crockpot in the marinade. A couple of small pork loins should cook well, I would think, and you could do the cider reduction ahead of time and just warm it. I'm probably overthinking this, LOL, so here's the recipe. APPLE CIDER BRINED PORK ROAST 3 cups apple cider 3 cups water 1 bay leaf ¼ cup salt 1 tbls black peppercorns 1 tbls coriander seeds 1 2 lb. Pork loin, trimmed 2 cups cider 1 ½ tsp chopped fresh rosemary 1 ½ tsp chopped fresh sage 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper Combine the first 6 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until salt dissolves. Remove from heat, cool, and pour into a Ziploc bag or container big enough to hold the pork loin. Add pork, seal and let marinate 8 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350, bring 2 cups cider to a boil over medium high heat. Boil until cider is thickened and reduced to ¼ cup, about 15 minutes. Set aside. Remove pork from bag or container and discard brine. Place pork on broiler pan or baking dish and lightly coat with cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining herbs and bake about 1 hour, until pork is done, basting twice with the reduced cider in the last 20 minutes of baking. Remove from oven, baste with remaining cider reduction.
