Aww, thank you all so much for the great birthday wishes! It was a gorgeous day this year as Jessy mentioned. Much better than last because it was raining then & we cancelled what we had planned to do. Can never count on the weather in early March. This year, the day was sunny with clouds moving around - so pretty. We drove about an hour north of Los Angeles to Oxnard, a small beach town, & had a champagne brunch looking out at a sailing channel that had pelicans diving straight down into it. Then back to my daughter's who had a red velvet chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting waiting. A lovely day. :) Thanks again for thinking of me!

Anele...with all you have going on I am so pleased you found this thread and sent your wishes. Thank you ! DH is a special guy. If it weren't for him I know I wouldn't be meditating and that has led to so much more as far as my piece of mind....which he then benefits from. A win/win situation for sure. I am so glad to hear from you and look forward to news of the new little girl when she arrives. c

Thanks for the birthday wishes! This is the 5-0 birthday for me and it's just hard for me to believe it! After yesterday though, I'm FEELING it! LOL The house my boys lived in when they were in college is going on the market today so I was over there painting the kitchen cabinets and staging the bathrooms (cleaned them spic-n-span first). Oh my, I have soreness in places I didn't even know I had places! It probably didn't help that I came home and practically guzzled a bottle of wine while in the hot tub! So I guess 49 went out with a bang and 50 is coming in with a whimper. :-)

Thank you, dear ladies..

Yes, the sun is out, the 15 in of snow is melting, it is 50, and that is a good start!

And Foodgawker.com accepted 2 of my pics today..so that made me happy.
I am not a great photographer, so I usually get rejected..
So woohoo is right!

Happy Birthday, Kathleen. So, is your husband getting you new dishes for your birthday? (grin)

Congratulations on being accepted on Foodgawker, I've never even tried to submit something there, no chance of rejection that way, LOL.

Happy Birthday Kathleen, and congratulations!

Chuck (Foodgawker) is very kind, but he and his team tend to be pickier than Tastespotting (and other photo galleries), in regards to the food shots they publish. So, you have every right to preen those feathers proudly.

Annie, Mike would like to throw out all my"playthings" except one set. He can't stand it, dishes in every cupboard...
Sol, thanks so much, I love my red shoes! I was vewy , vewy happy to get on Tastespotting and Foodgawker and Photograzing the same day. Now I can give it up..
Easy for you, and Ann , Debbie814, dishesdone, Kent, Monique, and some others, you are all great photographers, and get accepted easily..every pic Sharon CB takes would be a winner..

I struggle with it, so it did make me happy! I was so tired of having poor lighting..oh, the rejection!

About that dinner..for some reason he decided he didn't feel that good,:( but would cook if I wanted him to..oh heck..
I took a rain check!
And where's Lou with my song?

So thank you all, it was so sweet of you to send me birthday greetings..
I appreciate them!
