I buy most of my roses from Chamblee's because I live close by, and their roses are always great looking (and they're so helpful). I'm a newbie, but so far none of the ones I've bought there have died. After buying several last year, I splurged and bought about 20 more this year. They are all doing well. I say - do it! ;)

I color matched the trim paint to the white cabinets. It was a very close match but not exact. Will any trim work be up against the cabinets? No one else will pay attention to rather it is a match or not. But I was glad I got it matched because the quarter round and various trim pieces where painted that directly met the cabinets in the laundry room and the kitchen Island. For my wall color it was much more difficult to pick. After several large areas painted on the wall and I finally decide on a color and feel confident, I asked my DH what he thought, he tells me "yeah it looks great - if green is what you are going for" I was NOT going for green i wanted a khaki color. I didn't ask what he thought of paint colors again! Good luck I am sure whatever you pick will look great.

rmlanza - thank you! I love that tile, too. We made room for it in the budget by scrimping on floor tile. The nice thing about a 9x9 space is that you save on materials. remodelfla - See, fingerprints and smudges are fine. It's the potential for permanent staining that scares me. We have embraced the chaos. There was one morning last week where we had my husband, 22 month old daughter, her nanny, our contractor and his 3 workers, plus me and the 5 week old infant walking around our 950 sq foot condo (made smaller by the fact that the kitchen is blocked off)... and NO WATER! Some municipal worker hit a pipe somewhere.
