Restoration Hardware Salvaged Wood Dining Tables
Comments (1)Does anyone own any salvaged wood pieces by RH? I am looking at two dining tables in particular- the Trestle Table and the Gun Barrel Table. Both are beautiful and unique although the wood being unfinished worries me. The CSR rep at RH told me for daily maintenance mild soap and water can be used. I've also read than people have used Monocoat oil finish to protect. Im also wondering if the Salvaged Brown color enhances the wood's natural beauty like the pine color does... My other concern is the warping- I understand it's natural but am wondering if anyone knows if the smaller planks (on the Gun Barrel Table) wood warp more or less than the wider ones on the Trestle Table... If anyone owns these or has any info regarding maintenance/care for salvaged wood pieces I'd appreciate feedback. Thank you....See Morehelp me find dining table similar to Restoration Hardware Camden
Comments (4)The most similar table I can find is a Bernhardt Martha Stewart table linked below. Scroll to table at bottom left. You may want to search archived posts for Bernhardt and see if any complaints. Comments (22)Thank you for the good review goldengirl. It makes me feel much more secure in my decision to order the table with this company. It was actually Dave that I spoke with on the phone, and he was extremely helpful and informative. ttodd - I love barley twist legs. Actually, I just found a great tiger oak table with barley twist legs yesterday at the antique flea market. I don't know where I'm going to put it yet, but couldn't pass it up!...See MoreCan a Restoration Hardware salvage wood trestle table be used outdoors
Comments (6)Hi, random question. I saw that you have the RH trestle table in salvaged brown. Did you need to add a finish for protection or use some sort of tung oil, etc. to prevent any issues with spills? Everything I’ve read from people are those finding ways to protect the natural unfinished version of this table, but I haven’t found anyone saying you need to do this for the stained versions of it. I just wanted to be 100% before I start using it. (It arrived this Saturday). I’m actually getting the Salvaged brown as well and was just curious if you had to do anything for protecting the surface or not? Thank you so much. I know this was a very old thread....See Morelauren17
