cramps

I get really bad cramps during every period and was wondering if anybody had any good suggestions. I have tried some homeopathic stuff but nothing really works except for Advil. I am opposed to this drug however as taking it a lot it not good for you. I want a more natural approach.

Have you had a good check up by a GYN doctor recently? Sometimes there is a reason for cramping. Sometimes it's just one of those things that we have to put up with. At least it's just for a few days.

I found that walking was very helpful. I didn't have to walk fast, but the movement seemed to ease those muscles. You may find that Aleve works better than Advil. Take it before you really start hurting and you won't need as much. It doesn't seem to have any long term side effects either.

I had the worst cramps that would put me out of commission for two days every month. Since I am on the pill, my GYN suggested that I take them continuously without taking the placebo on the 4th week. It took about three months to get to where I had no periods at all, and several different prescriptions to figure out which pill works best for me (Ortho Tri-Cyclen; anything else and I would spot for a day or two). I have been on this regimen for over 4 years.

I have had no side effects, no PMS, no cramps, and it has been the answer I desperately needed. If you are on the pill, I suggest it highly if your GYN agrees.

We had side-of-the-vanity TP holders in our old house -- convenient and never a moment's trouble. Easier option: a freestanding holder: Personally, we've been having trouble with our on-the-wall TP holder. We removed it /smoothed over the space on the wall and replaced it with a free-standing holder shaped like a giraffe. I like it, and it can easily hold two rolls.

What is your budget? Are you looking to gut or do you need suggestions for more moderately priced fixes? If you can't afford to gut and are going for a cosmetic facelift, I'd be sure to have the walls, cabinets, and counters the same color or as little contrast as possible. I'd ditch the island and potentially get a very narrow kitchen console type table with legs that is open underneath so you have some additional counterspace without the bulk of an island.

I get them really bad in my upper leg between my knee and my thigh. Or my toes. The cramps on the upper leg are the absolute worst! It runs the entire top of my leg on the inside and getting up to walk it off is almost impossible. And even when I do finally get up, it can take a good five minutes before I can relax. I usually go to the fridge and pour an ounce of pickle juice and a glass of warm water to chase it down. I know I don't drink enough water which is the problem nor do I eat enough bananas.

Stack in the back right corner. Honestly it would have been better, space wise, to put them across the back of the room. Architect probably wanted to hide the appliances from view, but this makes them hard to access. Seriously consider putting in a stack, washer tower, something. If it were me i would put in compact units, but thats a personal choice.
