Oh goody!!
My very first read this morning was Jessy's greeting and here I sit all smiles from all of your birthday wishes. I'm a lucky woman, indeed, to have such good friends around the globe!

A leisurely breakfast starts the day. Fresh citrus fruits and berries, scrambled eggs with onion and cheese, toasted challah with strawberry preserves and strong coffee. Two of the four kids have called me so far.

Tricia, the fierce winds have died down and the sun is shinning brightly. Actually we had a couple of downed small trees on the woodland border. The winds were so strong that on Thursday the back car door closed on me, clunking me on the head, because of the contour of the window frame. Ouch! I'm fortunate that I wasn't knocked out but we Aries have hard heads. LOL

Plan to go to the gym later and generally take it easy. Tonight is dinner with good friends Bob and Anais. We will see what else is in store as it unfolds.

I love birthdays!!!

So it's shaping up like this so far today: no gym, by the time I showered, did my hair and make-up, who the heck wanted to sweat and start all over later? Soooo, "Big A" took me to the mall to the Apple store and we picked out my new model of Mac. This here one has served me so well that my keyboard is missing letters.....I've worn off the letters e-r-a-s-d-c-i-l-n-and half of the m. This iBook G4 has been great but it's getting ready for retirement..I've slowed it down with all my carp.

Anyway, I got a new Spring raincoat too at a lovely marked-down price and all the kids and my DS and DSIL have called. That leaves a lovely evening yet to have and probably more of you to acknowledge.

Lucky me!!

Well, alrighty then, as long as I don't have to take a sobriety test, I'm home-free.
Dinner was wonderful! We met out friends at the restaurant. The maitre'd was in California but made sure that I had my favorite white wine immediately, paid as a gift. Yippie! Dinner was greatly enhanced by the company of such close friends. We all shared an appetizer of hot avocado egg roll followed by tonight's house salad of greens with blue cheese, pears, and pecans. Dh and I ate the rib-eye steaks with massed po's. Bob had grilled tuna and DF Anais, had seared scallops.

Happily, birthday cake was ordered in advance, because I was feeling loopy from the wine by the time dessert came. Wonderful birthday!

I am tired but so very happy! Everyone has been so thoughtful both in person and here on the CF. Fortune shines upon me for sure.
