rmkitchen Oh. .I just wanted you to know how it works :) There are so many stores that sell the shark mop now (Thank goodness) It truly is a great mop and it really is a shame they have idiots who answer the phonesÂ. I had my problems with CS as well.. but I looked at it that they did not make the mop ..they just answer the phones I had the original shark steam mop and I LOVED it.. It went ka-put after a year or so and I was up set. .I bought the Eureka "home works" it was ok. .but wasnÂt crazy for it.. so naturally when the new shark came out, thatÂs what I wanted (loved my first one) Some on here has the Bissell and are really happy with it also ÂI am sure it is a great product with itÂs improvements from the past.. back when they were not good at allÂbut like everything else, time and new technology changes everything. We are building a classic rectangular shape 16 x 33 and our PB also said one LED would be best (Jandy Watercolors). He thought because it's straight 2 lights would make it too bright, but said a free form would prbly need 2. He also said the Jandy light is brighter than the Hayward or Pentire though. I called Jandy and they thought 1 was the right choice. The specs on it were 25 feet straight and 18 on the sides. Both did say there would be some shading in the shallow end but would still be lit. I think the color interior also makes a difference too. We should be up and running in 2 weeks but won't know for sure until then.

I've inherited blood pressure and cholesterol problems and also had a severe reaction to Crestor, so I'm strictly on my own when it comes to managing the cholestrol. I've learned, through trial and error, that avoidance of empty, starchy carbs and sugar makes a huge difference in all of my numbers. I typically start my day with a "sludgie" made in a NutriBullet with lots of leafy greens, some fruit, yogurt, nuts, seeds, and a liquid of my choice. I do not avoid fatty foods at all; no fat-free or low-fat anything. Bacon is my friend. But there's no processed food in my pantry, no hidden sugars, no breads, or cereals. I guess I follow a modified Atkins program, with lots of vegetables added to the meat, eggs, and dairy foods. I don't count calories; I'd probably be horrified. Carbs are what I keep track of. I have to watch my weight.....in order to not lose any more. I'm never hungry, that's partly due to the fat in what I eat but also to the absence of sugars and any breads, pasta, cereal. Those foods always made me hungry for more, more, more. Once I more or less recovered from the Crestor issues, I was left with what has been diagnised as fibromyalgia. My body failed me rapidly. Fortunately, I am able to take advantage of nearby fitness center where I participate in water aerobic classes, yoga, pilates, muscle machines and training, and just plain swimming for fun. I initially used a trainer (PT) to work with me on my strength and muscles, and she was a huge help. The difference between how I felt and looked before I started going to the center and now is incredible. I was feeling weak, frail, unsteady on my feet, all of which made me feel helpless and very, very old. I'm just old....not very, very! ;-) Oh, my blood work is stellar....no more meds of any kind.

Oh, Daisy - I LOVE that picture of your steps with the little bunch of daffodils (or are they narcissi/jonquils? Sorry, I don't know the difference!) - on each step. Just stunning! I used to live in the UK and I remember the daffodils everywhere in spring - I especially loved seeing a whole meadow of them, sort of "growing wild" in the local parks (I don't know if they were or probably carefully planted by the park gardeners - haha!). I can also relate to your feelings of wistfulness - I used to live in Oxford and had all those romantic, beautiful Cotswolds English gardens on my doorstep that I never really paid much attention to - and now I live in hot, dry Australia and desperately want an English cottage garden (and am trying to create one, even though everybody local tells me its a lost cause and will only lead to heartache eventually!). Argh! I wish I'd appreciated all those gorgeous gardens I had access to when I was still living in England - can you believe that I never even went to the Chelsea Flower Show? I'm kicking myself now!! :-) ~ HY
