Oh No! I missed a step

I made this &%##@ dessert which took me two days. I felt like challenging myself and thought it was a nice looking cake. It's called Ethereal Pear Charlotte. Anyways, the last step calls for sliced poached pears to be placed on the set charlotte and I put them on before it set. Do you think this will be fine? Thanks. It's the first time I read (almost the whole recipe obviously) all the way through - three times even! Grrr.

Oh, no, let us know how it turns out. I'm sure it will still be wonderful. I saw some pictures - it looks like an amazing dessert.

I've started copying and pasting my recipes into a Word document and then putting check boxes before each ingredient and step. I check them off as I go. I've done just what you've done too many times.

They may sink in a little but you should be fine.

You simply MUST post a picture. Wow, I love to bake but the whole day for one cake - must be a really special occasion.

That's part of our addiction Karen, they gotta be the right pieces! :) I took a break and went "slumming". Found some cute planters and a freebie wagon too. Will post pics tomorrow now that YOU made me figure it out. ;) I only had three boxes under my pics in Photobucket.

Whew, I checked on it first thing this morning and they held up fine. I have to say the custard part didn't taste great:(. Hopefully after setting for awhile it will change?! I was checking to see if a recommendation for pulling off the pears would pop up. I just saw these now so I would have left them with your responses without worrying. Is this a new sign of the times for me - things working out? Wow. Sure, if I can figure out my password to photoshop I will post a pic.

No occasion. Nothing bad (touch wood) has happened to me lately so I thought this cake should take of that. I have to say I impressed with how it looks so far. I haven't unmolded yet so I will do a pic then. Also when I folded the custard with egg whites and whipped cream they clumped a bit so I had to pull out the mixer and mixed until lump free. It defluffed it a bit but I think that's better than having clumps. Also when I went to put the glaze on the pastry brush had dog hair on it so I had to wipe off what I did and start over with a new brush. Dog hair - number one enemy in my kitchen. BTW, I am sooo excited to unmold it.
