Bona Traffic Satin Finish and Chatter Marks

Hi everybody,

I recently had my contractor apply 3 coats of Bona Traffic satin finish on my new red oak floor. Unfortunately, now my floor has a plastic look with chatter marks (a closely spaced repeating drum or 'ripple' mark) all over the floor. My contractor proposed to apply Bona Natural matte finish over the floor to hide the marks.

Here are my questions:

1-Is it true that 3 coats of satin finish made the floor glossier and show the marks and we won't see the marks with a matte finish? Is it possible the marks appeared when the contractor abraded the floor between finish coats?

2-I hate the plastic look, will the result be better if he re-sand the floor & apply only 2 coats of satin finish?

3- He said that after mopping floor many times, the floor will become dull & I'll see less chatter marks, is it true with Bona Traffic?

Please help me to decide whether to re-do or stay with a floor plenty of the ripple marks.

Thank you so much
