The USAir jet that Captain Sully safely landed in the Hudson River went through my town yesterday afternoon but got hung up at the main intersection until workers removed some obstacles.

I had no idea it was heading this way or I would have gone to see it. The route was only a mile or so from my house.

One of the local papers reported that it went by a bar in the neighboring town (our town is dry) and that the patrons all did a double take and ran outside to watch.
