Craftsman Garage Door Safety Sensor Problem
Comments (1)I looked up the part number at Sears parts.com and your number 41A4373 changes to 41A4373A which usually indicates a minor engineering change. If this is not the number of your new sensors I doubt the new set would work....See MoreCraftsman Garage Door Opener Sensor Problem
Comments (1)the wires carry a data signal, not enough voltage there to feel. you could have a bad sensor or bad wire. if possible, move one sensor to within a couple ffet of the other and see if both light properly. if so, then you just have thme misaligned. if not, then you need to make 2 short jumpers and hook them to the back of the GDO. if they work there, then your wire is bad. if not, then the sensors are bad....See MoreGarage Door sensors problem
Comments (1)If I understand correctly, you spliced the new sensors to the existing wires going to the operator. If that's the case, the problem may be a pinched wire. If the wires are stapled too tightly to the door frames, which is common, they can be pinched by a staple, breaking the wire internally. This can show up after a long time or even be intermittent. Check each wire carefully for staple pinches. If you find one, you will probably find more. If it is only pinched in one place, you can splice in a repair section. If there are multiple places, I suggest replacing all the wires. The problem could also be in the operator....See MoreCraftsman Garage Door Opener Safety Sensor
