Blending brazilian cherry and white oak hardwood?

We are in the process of purchasing a home that has two different hardwood floors on the 1st floor. Initially we wanted to tear up the white oak floors and replace it with the brazilian cherry to match. However, this would involve tearing out the kitchen cabinets to get the white oak from under the cabinets. Now we are considering sanding the white oak down and restaining with a cherry color. I know it will not match but will it blend enough that it's not obviously different?

FYI - We will not attempt to do this ourselves. We would hire a professional. Before spending the money (quoted at $3/sq foot to refinish), I want to make sure we'll be satisfied with the finished look.

Thx!
