Looking for expandable round kitchen table/set

Something like the Aris from PB, but not from PB :-)

Pedastel bottom 42-45" round that would expand with leaves out to 65-70" or so. Ideally solid wood. Either black, cherry or a combination. Medium price range if there is such a thing. This is an everyday kitchen table that will certainly take some abuse from my kids. Don't want to cry over "fork dents" or the occassional trace of not quite washable marker.

I saw, and loved tables and chairs made by Bermex. I placed an order with Dedra @ Blacks Furniture and the set was about $1700 for round, expandable table and 4 chairs.

JC Penney has a fabulous table that might be just the thing for you. I just ordered one.
It's a square with a drop leaf on each side; when you raise the drop leaves, it becomes a large circle. It's black except for the tabletop and chair seats, which area a rich cherry brown color. It's on sale right now for $499 for the table and 4 chairs (there's also a beautiful buffet/hutch to go with it for $649). You can get more chairs for $149/pair. It's a beautiful simple style and is all wood and veneers; it doesn't have padded seats (which I like since I have small boys and don't want fabric or rush seats getting gunky). I want Pottery Barn, too, but without the price and the concern of kids damaging it (I have two small boys). This table fits the bill bigtime for me and will accommodate our weekly get togethers with friends for dinner and games. We can actually LIVE with this table and focus on enjoying people instead of protecting the table. You can't buy it (or even view it) online; you have to go to a JC Penney store and look at it there, or have them pull it up in their in-store computer to see it (they have different products in the store than they do online). Good luck! It's tought to find a great dining room set. It's called the "Forest Glen" set.

There seems to be limited selection of large round solid wood tables today. The Barn Furniture Mart has been making and selling large round tables for over 60 years. Check out the link below and you will see 48"-54"-60" round tables in solid Quarter sawn and plain cut Oak. Many are available with 1 to 6 leaves. We have many styles, which are not on our web site. 20 inch..they apparently have some sales going on but I'm a bit confused what's on sale lol. check what they say there https://www.onekingslane.com/p/4666412-provisions-pendant-gray.do?refType=&from=fn&catnav=101407 (have it in white too) in general check their selection..prices wildly differ depending on a manufacturer..good store, but check their return policies etc-might vary here, 21 inch..but the bulb is 75 only-migh be ok..with this type of a pendant though you get very directed light..something to consider. If looking for used and wanted more modern I would be searching for the key words teak or MCM.
