29' dining table - too short?
Comments (5)I represent several furniture factories. Table height ranges from 29 to 30". You would not likely notice the difference between the 2 heights. If so, you could add adjustable glides to the bottom of the legs. I have been selling furniture for over 40 years and the only complaint about table height I can recall was when one factory had one that was 31" high....See MoreTable runner length with people sitting at ends of table?? Confused!
Comments (10)Thanks! LOL! I'm not stressed... just confused. And I overthink everything, so I'm easily confused :D blfenton - that's exactly what I was thinking... since I want it to be insulated to protect the table from heat, it will be a thicker fabric, and I'm thinking it might make the plate wobbly. We are usually paper-plate-casual-chaos for our holiday dinners, but I want to make it nice this year! I've seen lots of pictures where it's just in the center of the table. I was originally thinking I wanted something more elegant, but I think maybe I'll just make it 60" long...then there's room for placemats at the ends of the table when it's extended as well as when it's the usual size. Waddya think?...See MoreHow do you price a dining room set that is broyhill seats eight peopl

Comments (28)I went with a 48” Bluestar platinum range top and stacked Miele ovens - a convection steam oven on top and a regular oven below. I really like the setup because the oven I use most frequently (the Miele convection steam oven) is at a very comfortable height. The bigger Miele oven isn’t as comfortable, but it is still higher than a typical oven below a range top would be. Also, if you do the wall oven(s) you have the option to choose the best oven for you needs, separate from the range top. We also have our ovens at the end of our run of cabinets and it doesn’t bother me at all. I do have freezer drawers down by the ovens, and I use those freezer drawers to store things that I might heat up quickly in the oven (like chicken nuggets and fish sticks and pizzas). I have a warming drawer between the ovens and the range top so it is easily accessed from either appliance....See Moremogator88
