Floating Locking Hardwood - Sudden Squeak

logic

DH laid Bruce floating locking hardwood 2 weeks ago in a low traffic area (MB)...after screwing down sub floor to joists...checking to make sure all was level...

Last night a squeak developed in one spot.....and it seems to us as if that a particular board has a tiny bit of a larger space from the next than the others.

It is at a point in the floor where one part of it is only a few planks from the wall...he used the pull bar to tighten from there...and that portion no longer squeaks...however, the end portion which is a few planks from the end of a short hallway still squeaks. An attempt to do the same at the beginning of the hallway did not help...too far away.

We are assuming then that it is the board...and not the sub floor. However, we are not sure why it took two weeks to squeak.

Any suggestions on how to pull the board in to the next other than ripping all those up that precede it Âthen re-installing?

AlsoÂany thoughts on why it did not squeak until nowÂ.and am therefore wondering if every two weeks or so a new squeak will materializeÂ.
