I have found great success in using AWESOME Cleaning Solution, you can buy this product at any dollar store, and depending on the condition of the tile on the wall, when you get this product spray the tile down, I normally get inside of the shower or tub when I clean it, instead of bending over or reaching in, It makes it easy to clean this way, spray the shower walls down and inside the tub and wipe, that's right spray and wipe, tip: use a towel when wiping your tub walls and inside of the tub it covers a wide range in area when cleaning, now if its really dirty then get an eraser pad to go along with the job as the posting said above, and that should get your tub back to its normal status. Please be advise when using strong cleaning product, always invest in a mask for your health protection, If you have mildew, the eraser pad, nor will awesome, do the trick, you will need to make vinegar and water solution, or just spray bleach to kill the mildew. Bleach do not clean as we think, its actually dangerous and harmful to our health, I only use it when I run into a bathroom that have mildew that the cleaning product can't handle. Most store brand product that you buy is not effective when it come down to getting the job done, you can do it yourself with theses two easy steps I have listed, and once you get to doing it, you can step back and look at the results you have done, you want need someone to come in and clean your house, that will charge you 100.00 to do the job. Okay, one at a time. First, Correct-- no sealer on porcelain. Not only is it not necessary in that porcelain won't benefit from sealing, but it'll actually ruin the look of the tile, leaving a white haze on top of it. I was considering using a 16 x 16 white porcelan tile for my master bath floor rather than marble...thought it would be less maintenence. It is. Especially if you're going with a stark white porcelain in place of thassos marble. Is it easy to clean speckles of hairspray and other bathroom used products off of a porcelan floor? Just about everything will clean up pretty easily off porcelain. How do you prevent this grout haze from happening in the first place? By being meticulous when grouting that you clean the floor well. It's next to impossible to have no haze at all, but if the grout installation is done properly, all it should take to clean up afterward is a mop and plain clear water. Tile woman suggests that I will need virtually no grout line with this tile. If this is rectified porcelain, (which it sounds like it is) then I agree with her. You only need a minimal grout joint (1/16", +/-).

Agree with eleena. In my bathroom, I can't get the cleaner for the tile on the mirror, or the faucet cleaner on the floor, or the floor cleaner on the faucet. You can't clean the whole thing without a damn spreadsheet. Teasing aside, having a simple cleaning service is not an upper class thing, at least not for two-job households. However, the reality is, having an intelligent, reliable cleaning person is an upper-class luxury, unless you happen to be lucky. I would love to have a touchup every week or two. However, I remember what the cleaning people did at my mom's place when she got sick and couldn't do it all herself. Each week, something new was broken, scratched, stained or missing. She couldn't afford to supplement the housekeeper's income by running out and buying new carpets or collectibles or lamps on a weekly basis--which is precisely what you are doing if you allow someone to break something in your house without paying for it. She lucked out for a while with an old Italian lady who cleaned like she did, but for the most part they were more trouble and money than they were worth. Now, if you can afford real staff, then you can get into human resources techniques. But if you can't, then you're not the employer, just a customer, and you take what you get.

2. Protect Oven: The excessive debris building up on the bottom of appliance can be prevented by the oven liners and washed and reused time and again. This is begging for trouble when those liners melt. I don't know of a single oven manufacturer that doesn't say, "Don't use liners!". You can see some of the threads here for more on the problems they create. Also, for #4, randomly pouring drano et al is foolish, wasteful, and not good for the environment. Keeping a plunger available for if you have a problem and using common sense like not pouring hot fat down the sink are both better ways to avoid clogged drains. But working methodically to avoid going back over where you were is a good recommendation.
