Where she is being treated is going to dictate the outcome so she needs to make sure she picks the right place. She should go to the best place she can find near her. When hub was diagnosed we were told he could do treatment (chemo/rad) in NJ at any satellite office but we chose not to; & I'm glad we did because I saw a special on the news that not all radiation machines are calibrated correctly & some of the techs aren't the greatest.

Next, the surgeon has a lot to do with it as well. Someone that posts on citydata lost her brother this morning to a screw up. The Dr punctured his esophagus doing a biopsy; cancer spread to the puncture.

Amy, I appreciate your prayers & positivity, & yes, I think the prognosis will be favorable since it appears that Peggy caught things early! I'm so thrilled about that. Could it be she dodged another bullet? (Peggy had a large brain tumor removed 3 yrs. ago & recovered beautifully from that!) Don't know how lucky she is to have me, but I consider myself one of the luckiest people on the planet to have her!

stinky that is good news indeed! It is good both are small and primary. If the thoracic surgeon wanted to go next week, and he was my choice of docs- I would say let's do this. And sometimes the patient is better off going back for a second procedure instead of having them done at once. danger of complications stuff like that.( yeah that is a medical term)
