Antiquing and distressing pine plank flooring-Worth it or cheesy?

I have just purchased wide pine plank flooring, unstained and natural light colored. BUT I payed extra for "antiquing and distressing" which is basically they bang/dent it up a bit and blacken those bits, as well as blacken the beveled edges.

Now I'm having second thoughts! I do want a "rustic" house. This floor IS going to get dented/scratched with dogs and normal wear. I was sold on that the "distressing" allows all of my localized denting to blend into the home better.

And blackened on a light yellow wood seems... unnatural?

Would you do it? I'm worried that paying extra for this is actually cheesy, and not making any sense! Thanks for any suggestions!!
