tell you what, inspect the 511 liquid in a clear glass. If its yellow or gold colored throw it out. sometimes the factory foil seal on the new jugs can fail and allow air in and it may discolor. 511 should be clear and if its yellow it can ruin your grout.I had a bright white grout job yellow with brand new 511 turned out to be defective sealer ( foil seal failed ) cost me A LOT of money in repair and NO thanks to Miracle sealants.

There was a problem a few years back with a spray sealer from Tile Perfect being sold thru Home Depot. Even before an health problems surfaced, I wasn't crazy about the idea of a spray sealer for a couple of reasons. First, they say you can get it on the tile-- it doesn't hurt it, that it evaporates off. If that's the case, then how can it evaporate off the tile, and not the grout? Secondly, like Jayco, I didn't care for the idea of breathing that crap. I didn't need almost 70 people to go to the hospital, and two to die before I realised it wasn't a good thing. Now, for legality sake, I have to add that those people allegedly went to the hospital because of a chemical that was added to the sealer and shouldn't have. But there are enough other chemicals in them to still make me personally shy away from them.

Hi Bill, How does one find out if a stone is "extremely porous" - e.g. I have a few different stone floorings recently installed but not yet grouted (Benjamin Gray limestone, Lagos Azul limestone, and Gray Sandstone) - what do I need to do to figure out whether to upgrade to Porous Plus, or just stick with Impregnator? (Or one of the other recommended sealers.) Thanks, Becky

My husband is a contractor and we did a huge job back and front yard thousands of dollars worth of ledger granite stone. We wanted to seal the stone, not change or enhance color at all. The entire backyard did very well and looks beautiful. Half way through the front yard which was looking great we ran out of product and bought a 4 pack from HD and applied exactly the same way and the new bottles of product which was sealer changed the color of the stone. Now I have a 2 tone fireplace up the house and two panels up the house that a 2 toned and a planter. I applied it all myself, the same way on the same stone and somehow the new product formula changed. The company Miracle Sealants have been very un-co-operative and it took a lawsuit threat to just get them to agree to come 40 miles to look @ it. I sent samples of the empty bottles, samples of the 2 tone stone and he is at this point saying that they don't think they will stand behind their product...we shall see, be careful with this product.
