Toaster Oven Bread

I have a Sunbeam bread maker, but I really like making bread by hand when I have the time. Well, I have vacation time coming and I'd like to make some bread....but I have a small problem.

My gas stove absolutely stinks when I heat it up, so I bought a nice Black&Decker toaster oven with two rack settings and is big enough to hold a 12" pizza. I've cooked and baked normal items in it with great success, and now I'm wondering if I can bake a loaf of plain white bread in it.

If anyone has made toaster oven bread before, can you answer a few questions to help me along?

1) Should I have the convection fan running as it's baking?

2) Are there any tricks using aluminum foil to produce an even bake/even browning of the crust?

3) What rack setting should I use? The bottom or middle?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much in advance.
