best roses for Lee/Collier Counties FLA
Comments (5)I am in Pinellas County, but I guess it is a similar climate for roses. I have Don Juan too and it's great. Last year I planted Our Lady of Guadalupe and it is amazing for me so far. Tons of scented pink flowers. The only rose I have that is blackspot free without spraying is Louis Philippe. It is own root but has been a slow grower. My list of other roses (I still have them so they are at least somewhat good)All on fortuniana unless otherwise noted: -Gold Metal -Belinda's dream -Scentimental -Neptune -Iceberg, Burgundy *gets lots of blackspot but springs back -Chihuly -Hot cocoa -Queen Mary 2 (on Dr Huey/5 years old and still very vigorous) -Natchitoches Noisette (own root 2 yrs old) -Tiffany -Elle -Celine forestier (own root 2 years old) -St. Patrick -Souvenir de la malmaison -Cherry Parfait -Double delight (I am giving it one last chance) -Gruss an Aachen- (brand new, I don't know the rootstock) I removed these duds from my garden: -Mister Lincoln (I planted 2 of them in the same spot, the definition of insanity) -Lime Sublime (very disease prone) -About Face -Teasing Georgia...See Moreneed help with my Lee sofa cushions
Comments (9)Okay, I found out my original cushions were the standard. This is also what I sat on in the store (Robb % Stucky's, although I ordered through Alan Ferguson). The cushions were terrible. I understand fluffing and turning but we had to do it EVERYTIME anyone sat down. But the biggest problem is hard to explain. The back cushions seem to be shapeless at the bottom. When you sit down, they tend to roll forwards into you. Instead of sitting down and back into the sofa, you're kind of pushing back forcefully with your shoulders to keep it from rolling into you. Almost like it is top heavy. Does that make any sense? When I take the cushions out of the case, they look fine. I can't quite figure out what is wrong with them. Ok, I contacted Alan Ferguson who contacted Lee. They sent me (free) a replacement set of the extra firm cushions which was very nice of them. However, same problem. Way squishy, rolling forward. Can't sink into them. I contacted them again and got a nasty email back. They were very short with me and insisted that if I "MAINTAINED" my cushions I would have no problem. They also described maintaining as turning and fluffing. I do that everytime I sit down. Should that really be necessary? My sofa looks like a slide. The seat cushions slope towards the floor, probably because you can't sit all the way back due to always fighting the rolling back cushions! Sorry this is so long but I really am at my wits end. I am not a rude or unreasonable person. I would be happy to pay to fix this problem if I only knew what to do. I know I am too sensitive but was hurt by the snotty email. Like I was being a pain in the *** when I have tried my best to be polite. Any advice please?...See MoreMy Lee furniture arrived yesterday
Comments (20)This question is for Maryanne3 concerning the wedge sofas. I am interested in the Lee wedge sofa style 7030 but cannot find anyone that has the schematics. I have the overall measurements from the company but I need some more information. I have a very small room and this is important to know before I order. I need to know the measurements for all angles such as from the arm to the back on the first angle, then the length of the "middle" angle and then the length of the last angle. This would really help me! thanks...See MoreWhat Is The Best Palm Tree Seed Site
Comments (20)In the past when RPS updated their website (it is now nicer but much slower to browse) my account was deleted with all my past orders. They did not move any past orders or any customer accounts to their new site. The seeds that take about 2 months to arrive since they wait a month to charge a card and then another month to deliver arrive continuously partly or mostly not viable, shattered or they germinate in very low percentage such as 3% or none. I did have some very limited success with RPS seeds in the past, but a lot of misidentifying is going on, even now I realized the couple of palms that germinated from the batch are different species than I purchased. Take your chances. If you have no other source for specific seeds, take a chance and good luck. I am now ordering seeds, germinated seedlings and palms directly from suppliers even that I am just a collector and even if it is harder to achieve that....See Moresister3
