Subfloor: How Clean?

We're going to be laying glue down cork tiles on our concrete subfloor in our new house.

The concrete has had drywall mud and paint dripped on it, and while those items have been scraped off, stains from where they were exist. I've vacuumed and scraped off everything that sticks up, but without renting a scrubbing floor cleaner of some sort, I don't see these "stains" coming off. Do they have to be removed, or is it safe to lay the floor now with what I've already done?
