Underlayment for cork flooring?

We would like to install fairly inexpensive cork flooring in our attic and the loft over our garage. We are doing the work ourselves so plan to use the floating clickdown type for ease of installation -- probably either APC or Stepco from FastFloors.

But I am very confused about underlayment. Both areas have level plywood subflooring. Extra sound insulation might be helpful in the attic, which is to become the playroom, but I don't think sound insulation is required over the garage. (That room is to become a study/guest room).

I would love any advice on what the best underlayment for cork is, or indeed if we need and underlayment at all.

Thanks!
