I would use the armoire. Stain or paint to match the color of the mirror on the other side. Make sure the mirror and the armoire are at the same height at their top measurements Then replace the curtains/glass in the armoire with mirrored panels. Closed it will give the feeling of almost a companion piece to the mirror on the other side. Open you will have the tv and other equipment if needed. I would think about mounting the tv on an arm inside the cabinet, if it is possible. It might give you more viewing options when you have more people in the space, and also allow you to turn the tv to be viewed from the kitchen on the left.

Although you didn't ask for this advice, I have to second Jenny "with no taste's" comments. I think the wall color detracts from the clean contrasts in your slipcovers. The picture posted by Jenny seems to have a cream wall behind a blue/white chair, but it doesn't look like the wall was painted with that chair in mind. If this were my room I'd paint the walls white. The obvious accent color is yellow but there is no reason you couldn't choose something out of one of the prints instead. I think your picture mats are neutral and would probably look fine with any new wall color. But you certainly want to know which wall color you are using before doing anything with the mirror or lamps. I think I might like the two lamps with the white shades, but I can't see them because they are too low. The round table is too low but since the legs are not really visible, can you put something under them to bring the table up a few inches? Once you are committed to your table heights, you can raise and lower your current lamps using stacks of books, till you see what height lamp works best. Of the new lamps you are considering, I'd definitely stick with the clear glass. The clear glass will add to the airy, clean, crisp look and it will help reflect light.

I want to reiterate Marie's and Ken's praise for the width of your path as well as the depth of your front beds, both of which are in proportion to the house, though if it were mine, I would add depth along the back deck to make it deep enough to have perhaps three layers of plants (and knowing me, also along the octagonal porch as well.) In southern ME you will have acid soil like I do here in central NH, so there are a bunch of nice shrubs that will work for you, both evergreen and deciduous to give you the "bones" as GardenHoe suggested. Evergreen: Rhododendron spring flowers Mountain Laurel (Kalmia) spring flowers Bird's nest spruce dwarf forms of blue spruce smaller to medium forms of arborvitae/white cedar/Thuja occidentalis (not green giant!) which the deer haven't eaten in my garden, though it's an issue elsewhere You can also ask on the conifer forum for evergreen suggestions. IME, GH's suggestion of dwarf Alberta spruce isn't happy for long here - too disease prone Deciduous: Fothergilla (spring blooms and stunning fall color) variegated red-twigged dogwood Azaleas (spring or summer bloom, fall color) Hydrangea paniculata as jacquierz suggested, though choose the variety carefully. My Pinky Winky at 6 years is a monster (8' tall x 12' wide) so you want some of the varieties with 'little' in the name - Little Lime, Little Quickfire (starts blooming 4 weeks earlier than others and continues until hard freeze), Little Lamb, which will all be about 5'-6' tall or a few others that will stay even smaller such as Bobo. They are all fine in full sun in this part of the country and have blooms when many plants don't and mine have been fine without additional water this summer even though there have been some long dry spells. I do use mulch to retain moisture. (It's H. arborescens and H. macrophylla that likes some shade, and 'Twist and Shout' is the only H. macrophylla I would recommend of the several I've tried if you have morning sun somewhere or any of the H arborescens that appeal to you in the same 1/2 day morning sun. My H arborescens Annabelle suckers, so if you use it take that into account) Many varieties of Viburnum would work, but choose a type that is resistent to Viburnum beetles since they are around. smaller lilacs Physocarpus/ninebark, especially one of the smaller ones like Tiny Wine IME two of the suggestions further up this thread, butterfly bush and anything but the hardiest selection of the native form of redbud won't survive more than a couple of years here before they succumb to our winters. Really nice house. You could remove (but not discard) the existing mantel and live a while without, taking the time to consider all your fireplace options, including a more bulky but less wide mantel that is a part of a fireplace surround. (The current mantel could be reused as support for shelving or a new mantel.) Would not paint or widen the existing built ins Would not paint the wood around the cased door opening to the entry unless you do decide to put white (or wall colored) built ins on that wall incorporating the tv behind where the floor lamp now stands (third pic). If you do keep the built ins beside the fireplace their current wood look, then definitely leave the baseboard the treated wood to match the built ins. If you paint the current built ins white, then paint the window trim white, too; however, otherwise, if the current built ins are going to stay wood as is, you could decide to paint the window trim white only if you're not going to add drapes that would cover most of the window frame anyway. Would definitely paint the trim at the top of the wall the wall color since ceiling white could visually shrink the height of the room. As you consider wall colors, in addition to considering blue or gray, you might consider a wall color that is a tan (but without pink or yellow hue) such as the lightest color in the stone in the fireplace -- and keep the ceiling white. If you paint the new built-ins surrounding the tv either white or a light wall color, you should seriously consider updating the ceiling fan with one that is silver metal and tinted semi-clear plastic/vinyl blades. As to the front porch, does any part of the floor of the existing stoop extend beyond the front wall of the house or do the steps start as you walk out the door (as the sloped rails suggest)? Something you might consider is building a treated lumber deck over the steps from the front wall of the house to the sidewalk from a point midway between the door to the right front corner of the house, with wooden steps leading from the side of that deck to the sidewalk and having it built with posts extending above the deck for the railing and to build to in order to add a porch roof later.
