Any opinions on De Coro leather sofas?

I've searched on here and other places and I'm not finding much information about De Coro. I am entertaining ordering one and want to find some info about them before I do. Guess its good that I don't see anything specifically bad about them. Also, they are a fairly young company, so that may be why theres not much information out there.

DeCoro is similar to Natuzzi. It is made in China and run by Italians who have background in making this kind of sofa (ie similar to Natuzzi). They have quite a few years under their belt now.

I hope they're good, I just bought a four piece sectional coming on Sat. I tried to do my homework, but not a lot of info on the net in terms of reviews. I did look at it closely at the store and had my family check it for comfort etc. Mid range pricing at $1800. Hope it holds up! Talked to several dealers that sell both DeCoro and Natuzzi and thought they were very similar but that Natuzzi cost more because of the name.

B-Y builds a good sofa, but not a great one. Price points are excellent. Tailoring is a bit sloppier than companies such as Handcock and Moore, and Leathercraft. Components are good. Hides are good if you skip the first handle (Ashton Court). Their Married Cover program is price-friendly, but these are done off-shore and there are flaws in the hides / sewing in that category.

For those following this - Modernage is possibly going out of business. I don't like to stoke GOB rumors, however, this is not a rumor, its what they themselves have been saying and its been reported and confirmed in the press. A couple of months ago when rysher ordered this, the salespeople were probably told to bring any customer offer to the manager for consideration. Stores don't just wipe $1100 off a $3200 price tag, especially large chains (Modernage is owned by Leath.) Congrats on a great deal rysher!

Thank you soooo much to you all who replied! So grateful for all your opinions :) unfortunately the shop can't give me swatches to bring home to mull over my decision, and I hate how furniture shops all use mood lighting which makes it incredibly hard to see the furniture for what it is in natural light! Thanks heaps!

Got the DeCoro and have had it about 2 weeks. Seems great. Solid, leather soft, recliners work well. I'll have to report back over time to let all know how it holds up.

My fiance and I recently bought a couch and recliner by DeCoro. The couch will not arrive for another 3 months, but we were able to take the recliner home with us. While we were traveling home the chair "escaped" and flew off the back end of our truck onto the interstate!!! We pulled off the road expecting our new beautiful chair to be destroyed. We quickly picked it up and put the two "detachable" halves back together and the chair was structurally sound! The only damage was cosmetic and fixable by a leather technician. This brand is amazing! The chair flew out at 60 mph and only sustained some scuffs!!!

- Stunning DeCoro two-seater, black leather sofa with large side arms, originally purchased at Robb-Stuckey. Now 15 yrs old. looks as good as the day it was purchased. Solid construction. Beautiful. Worth every penny.

We have had a leather couch, loveseat and chair of theirs for 22 years now. They’re scratched up from dogs and kids, but are the most solid furniture we’ve ever owned! They have survived 4 cross country moves!
