Does anyone have advice for where to purchase this line for the best price? Our local Robb & Stucky carries it but it seems very high. We are located in the central FL area. Thanks!

I bought my Henredon furniture from Greenfront Furniture in VA. I did a lot of price comparisons, and they offered me the best deal. Not sure if they carry the BB, however.

You just missed a huge BB for Baker sale. Baker never seems to go on sale, but everything was 40% off until Oct 15th of last year. We bought a beautiful BB dining room table w/ 10 chairs for around 12k.
Yes, it is expensive, but it is hand-made in High Point, NC. I actually went to the Baker showroom there to check everything out. There are no words to describe how beautiful all their stuff is.
Afterwards I went to lunch at a little rinky-dink place and struck up a conversation w/ a local upholsterer. He said that Baker has the reputation in HP as being the best manufacturer of furniture.

If you aren't in a rush you may consider waiting for another sale. It is def. worth it! Good luck!

I checked with the Barbara Barry store in Canada who checked with Baker and was told "as long as there is demand for the Barbara Barry line, it will continue to be manufactured". I hope this is true because, personally I think the Barbara Barry line by Baker is higher quality and more elegant than the Barbara Barry line by Henredon. Although when you search for Barbara Barry the only thing that comes up is the Barbara Barry & Co website which is her Henredon line. So I hope Baker can maintain the line. Also - we own both lines, Henredon Barbara Barry for our bedroom and Baker Barbara Barry for our dining room, and I truely believe the Baker stuff is far superior.

@geokid, ha! Never saw that Nicole Kidman dress. Like you, now I can't unsee it! Good point about uplight and downlight. We really need light in there, so at the end of the day my dream sconce might not work. But, I agree with getting something I can live with for now. @beverly, thanks for the mirrors. I love the Barbara Barry one. I was trying to find something other than circular. We have a sunburst in another room, so wanted to avoid that as well. And yes, traditional, with a bit eclectic and minimal, all rolled into one! The couches were a find and while we have intentions of recovering one day, we kind of like the quirkiness it brings for now.

Can you post a better picture of the whole table in good lighting so we can see the legs and top. If it's "Historic Charleston Reproductions" your first task is to find out what historic piece was reproduced. It looks Art Deco to me, could fit well in MCM decor "Worth" is what someone is willing to pay ... if that style is popular in your area, you will get more than if everyone wants something else. ========= ADDING: Your best bet would be to sell it to a dealer with an account on 1stDibs ... apparently they are in demand and $$$$

Thanks Terri. We’re waiting for one more piece we purchased, then I’m heading to friends in early Nov. to pick up a couple more. I’m also debating the light fixture. The current one was $50 on CL. So once I get all that done, I’ll do a ”big reveal”. Hint, one thing that’s coming is a c.1970 zebra for the library that might offend. My perspective is that we should respect what’s already sacrificed. And this one has been rolled up and wasting away in a warehouse for two years.
