I had a terrible time finding a sideboard that would suit our home and our needs. I scoured antique/consignment shops, auctions, and looked at all major brands of furniture for something. All told, I spent close to two years on the exercise and I struck out completely. In desperation, I contacted a custom furniture maker, unsure I would be able to afford such a "luxury". Lo and behold! not only did the "custom" route turn out to be "in line" with the prices I had seen, but I was able to have features built into it to accomdate our needs. And in the wood I wanted! And it was made by talented tradesmen in our country. It arrived just over 3 1/2 mos. later (as promised!), in perfect condition, and was placed in its present site by the delivery team. Gone are the stacked silver chests, the piles of linen formerly stuffed into the pantry, and the open flatware organizer that lived on the kitchen counter for years. It ranks as one of the smartest purchases I've ever made, should have done it a year sooner.

OMG! The 24K gold plated set is gorgeous! I received it today and opened up the box right away! It was like Christmas morning. I opened the box and there was another box... (anticipation)... then there was another box ... (patience).... ahhh... there they are... the beautiful pots and lids.... taking them out... and huh?... there is another box! That must be the burner. Yep, it sure is. Hum... I think they overkilled the packaging ;o) First thing I did was turned on all 3 burners to test and they all work! Then, sit back and oooooh... then ahhhhh its beauty for a few minutes, then... report it back to you guys. Hah-hah... that was fun =o) Wow... can't wait to use it this holidays. Thanks for all your tips on this product.

Fabulous piece and no I can’t identify it. I googled tansu, shoji screen, Asian cabinet, mid-century….no luck. The only thing which shows up is all of your posts. It may be one of a kind…none of my Asian pieces have any identifying marks.
