Tigi makes a couple of good products. One I like to use after I blowdry my hair is called "After Party". It smoothes out flyaways even on the most humid days. Apply to dry hair. You only need a tiny amount or it will make your hair look greasy. Since I do a minimum of 45 minutes of cardio daily, I wash my hair every day for the most part. I wish I didn't need to, but it really needs to be washed after my workout. You could probably use it on your second day to get control of your hair.

golddust do you color your hair? If so, that's very drying. Just about any deep conditioner will make an improvement but you can take it a step further for more benefit. Shampoo, gently squeeze out excess water with your hands and then while your hair is still warm apply conditioner. Cover your head with a plastic bag. At this point you can do your usual shower routine (soap, shave, body scrub, whatever) and the extra time in the heat of the shower will help the conditioner work. I will also get out of the shower with the plastic bag in place and use my hair dryer to heat it up more/longer. Then rinse. Amazing difference. My favorite conditioner is the one that comes with my hair color (Nice n Easy) or one made by La Brasiliana called Due(no sodium).

Yes, I do color my hair. Recently I have started getting it professionally done verses home dyeing it. I really like the dye job as it isn't all one color but it seems like this is when the dryness became noticeable.

I'll try the plastic bag trick. That is a great idea. Think I'll try work's product too. Who carries Tigi? Never heard of the brand.

Another product line: the Renpure line from Redmond (Aussie). I swim every other day and the combination of using a swim cap and using this shampoo and conditioner (the whole line is organicd so that's good too) keeps my hair feeling like real hair rather than like the old-Barbie hair it felt like before. I color my hair too, and these products are great for retaining color as well, as much as anything can counteract an hour of chlorine bleach 4 times a week...

The ones I use are "my pretty hair is parched" and "amazing miracle reconstructor". They're pretty inexpensive, considering the quality of their ingredients. I don't do a plastic bag for the conditioner part, but I do try to leave it on for a good 3-5 minutes. My hair always feels great afterwards. Here's a link. Since you (like me) color, use a sulfate-free shampoo to prevent stripping your color. Since I've started using the Everpure line from L'oreal, my color seems to last longer and doesn't have that "dried out" feel that it used to get from time to time. I also swear by Moroccan Oil. I use it after I towel-dry my hair, and also use a tiny bit to bring back a more lustrous look to my hair once it's dried.
