Well, I finally lost a couple of pounds. I didn't change anything. If anything, ate a little more this week, what with Christmas cookies all over the house and everything.

Congratulations.

I weighed in last wednesday . But could not post it . I forgot my a/c pwd :-)) I was 129.4 last wednesday. Finally I was in 120's.

But the sad part is I pigged out for next 3 days ( parties, festivus, and what not all coming in the same week). Tomorrow is my official weigh in day and I would be more than happy if I haven't gain any weight.

Normally, I would weigh on Mondays at WW, but I no longer have that option and I also was on the road to my uncle's funeral. I am relieved to say that I "maintained" at 160. Several times last week I was at 158, but because of the funeral etc. (on the road, eating out, no time to work in a workout), I just did the best I could when I could. I've got this last 10 pounds I want to shed, and I am determined to get there. Congrats, Ivamae, for your 1 pound loss. I hope I have a loss to report next week!

Hello, I'd like to join in too, if I may. I like accountability! I was a normal weight for most of my life before starting on the dreaded prednisone(steroid) for asthma control. I was allergic to most inhalers and this was the only option at the time. I gained a LOT of weight, became sluggish and sedentary. The only thing under control was my asthma. My family doc saw how miserable I was (and how FAT!!) and took pity on me. We decided to get my allergies under control and see if my asthma was helped. I weaned off the prednisone last fall and the weight started coming off.(about 50 lbs!)The next 20 Lbs did NOT melt off; they were hard work! I have 11 more to reach my original goal of 138, but have decided to reach for 135 to give myself some "wiggle room". The last few weeks, I have continued to write down every morsel using Fitday.com. I eat on the low calorie side of a weight watcher's type plan, very balanced, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meat etc.for a week or so, then back to "maintenance mode". My metabolism is in great shape now and the rest of me is getting there little by little. I don't weigh every week, and am allowing myself till late August to reach my original goal. That's less than a Lb a week. I don't feel deprived at all, as I plan my little splurges to fit right into my program. Exercise was the bane of my existence for awhile : ) I HATE the gym! And, for a long time, I had NO ENERGY at all. I was a real slug. But I bought a treadmill, a stand to turn a second hand bike into a stationery machine, some free weights and some dance DVDs, turning my garage into a gym-at-home. Now I use it most every day. Also, as I have gotten healthier, I have gotten MUCH MORE physically active, took up kayaking, walking, biking, park at the far end of all parking lots and always take the stairs. I have enjoyed luking and reading what works for everybody.(Hi Harold, Iva Mae, Wodka!) I thought it was time to join in. 139 on the gym scale today, with shoes, in the afternoon :) I FINALLY got to move that big weight thing on the scale over from the 140 to the 120 to weigh myself. Sure, it was 120 + 19... but still... being on that side of the weight felt great!! 136 on my home scale just now, after dinner, no shoes, in pjamas. YAY YAYAYA YAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!! I am so excited. It feels so good to have validation of my hard work. I hope everyone is having a lovely evening. (of course as I'm writing this I'm thinking... I want a snack!! I could make some popcorn... surely THAT wouldn't hurt! LOL.)

Good morning, and happy Saturday! Down 2.5 lbs at today's check in, so I am right on track. I want to do these last lbs slowly, but surely. Haven't felt deprived at all. A review of my food record shows that I've eaten a bit too much bread, albeit whole grain, (I never met a piece of bread that I didn't like!)so I will adjust accordingly. I won't weigh again for a few weeks. Don't know what I'd do without fitday to help me keep track! Have a nice weekend!

Well, I am not a happy camper this morning. My weight went up a pound and a half this past week. I know part of that is due to the fact I could not get out and walk. And I know I did eat a few more calories. Shame Iva, shame!!!!!

Can I join in?

I joined WWers on-line 2 years ago this Feb. I lost 57 pounds and then I dropped my membership. It was a bad thing to do, because once I stopped tracking, I began to gain slowly. I have gained 20 pounds back and even tho it is only 2 days until Christmas, I have re-upped with WWers. I now weight-in at 175. I am 69 years old and inactive.

Sure, Dody. You're more than welcome. Well, that seems to be a common story - losing the weight then gaining it back. So you're not alone there.

Hello. Weighing in a little late. I hope everybody had a merry Christmas. I managed to eke out a 1 pound loss this week, in spite of all the cookies and two Christmas dinners, one on Christmas and one the day after.

Didn't do too well over Christmas, at least I did not gain. Yesterday, Hubby & I went thru the cupboards and frig and got rid of any tempting foods. Was on track all day yesterday. Hope to continue today. We have to take a sister to the hospital for tests today, so I will pack a bag of cheerios for a snack. If we eat in the cafeteria, I will have no trouble getting what I want to eat. Will be a long day.

I'll weigh in again on Wednesday. I hope I didn't gain more but over the holiday it sure can happen.

Hi guys

Hope you had a great Christmas!!

I think I did not over eat during Christmas time. I will be happy to see my weight coming down to 128's from 129's. Should see atleast 0.5 pound change from last week .

Well, I weighed this morning and neither lost nor gained. I haven't been able to get enough exercise and haven't watched the calories quite as closely over the holiday. I still weigh 164
Hope I do better next week. I do want to get down to 150 even though the Dr. said the present weight is good.

Good luck everyone. May we all do well in 2010.
