I just use regular craft paint in the little bottles, available at Michael's or Hobby Lobby... but most large stores carry that stuff in their tiny craft sections. I'm sure if you look, there is a specific type of paint that is made for painting on porous surfaces that might be moist at times... I'm not incredibly interested in how long the paint lasts on the pots, so it doesn't matter to me. I'm sure you could find sealer, as well. Michael's and Hobby Lobby both carry a nice selection of stencils, too. I've used pieces of a sponge to dab the paint on, using a stencil. The English Ivy pattern is one of my favorites, as are other types of vines or country type motifs. I don't have a photo of the pot set I did... I never thought to take one. Most of the pots I have currently are either plain, or they're so ratty looking, a picture wouldn't be worth taking! But I'm sure you get the ideas... You could also use a clear/transparent bathroom silicone and glue little pieces of tiles or mirror around the rim... or colored glass pieces, or whatever... a mosaic! Take a look around your local craft store... you just never know what sort of ideas might be waiting! Think "pot rim"... and let your imagination go wild!

As suggested in the preceding posting, if you're having problems with the dryer overheating, chances are the exhaust vent is either partially or completely clogged up with lint. If the vent line is short, you can probably clean it by disconnecting the dryer and reaching into the vent to pull out any accumulated lint. If the dryer vent is longer, you may need snake it out with a plumber's snake, or you might try blasting any lint out of the line by inserting a leaf blower into the vent (at the dryer end), and blowing out the vent. If that doesn't clear the vent line, you may have to disassemble the vent pipe until you find the obstruction. A longer vent line needs to be cleaned regularly and often. A short vent should be cleaned at least annually.

Arapaho: The tiles are porcelain from American Olean and they are from the Costa Rei Collection. They are called Pietre Binaca CR80/ The color on here is not true they are more a greyish beige They do have other colors, though. And the price point was awesome for the look. I think I paid under $4 per square foot for them. Some really nice coastal knobs out there! But I already bought the Epsy starfish under glass already. It is being shipped as we speak. I think I may go with a simple mirror, too. That plain white one with the starfish on the rope seems so much simpler and light. And the one at Pottery Barn is a good one to do that. I may just try my hand at some decorative mirrors after I get settled in the new house. My tiles are being installed this week at the house. Can't wait to see the finished product.
