There are lots of similar sites on the new...one being Woot and another 13 deals another run by Jamminbutter. Because I at one time "joined" several I get daily emails form several. I find there are lots of great cookware deals on Amazon....but alas I get daily emails from them too.....check out their Gold Box deal.

That's one site I hadn't checked out yet and I'm not going there, LOL, they are far too dangerous!

LindaC, those sites are all over now, aren't they? I signed up for a couple and got so tired of the daily emails I unsubscribed from all of them. Good thing I don't really NEED anything!

Thanks, I appreciate the links! I am familiar with the area (grew up there) but prices are all over the place. Sparsely populated area, economically depressed. Watched a farm auction last year, 400 AC split up into large and small parcels. Of course better crop fields grab a better premium. But there are some that were smaller sold as building sites. Crazy thing (that doesn't make sense to me) is that the smaller the site, the higher the price. Minimal road frontage on both, well & septic necessary on both. The 9 AC parcel going for $2600/AC, double size 18 AC parcel with nearly identical layout (woods and cleared field) going for $2100AC. But only on the market 6 months and slashed 15k already, probably due to the economy and no draw for newcomers. I check tax records as well, for deed changes in the area.

Okay, this is not good. A long time fan of anything Sculpey, this means bad news for me. I can't resist! Glass gems. I confess, I have two big plastic tubs in the shed full of them, can't help myself when they go on sale. And to think, I have to drive by a Hobby Lobby to get home from work. Heh heh! Charms. Moonshadow, I've not looked at the C180, but our daughters first digital was in the C series and it was super easy to use. Hers was purchased with one of Kodaks little printers. The first time she sent home prints of photos she'd taken and called to see if we'd gotten them I asked her why she wasn't using her printer. She said she'd used it. I was shocked at how wonderful this little tiny printer printed 4x6 inch photos with the quality of being professionally printed. I'd recommend getting her the printer also. The print paper and ink is very reasonable and if I remember right costs a bit more than taking the photos to Walgreens, but then you add in the gas and time and it's a great deal. Gosh, I just tried to search for them and I can't even find them for sale on their site. I wonder if they quit making them. Maybe they figure their newer combo printer scanner copiers are inexpensive enough and sell more that they didn't need the little printer docks anymore. If I find one somewhere online I'll let you know. But yes, even my camera which is aimed at someone that takes photos and is close to an SLR is extrememly easy to manage all the buttons and controls.

If anyone is looking for a nonstick skillet/fry pan, may I recommend Scanpan (no affiliation btw!)? We'd been using DH's very old non-stick skillets on those occasions when a NS pan was warranted (mostly if DH was making himself some scrambled eggs on a weekend morning). Not only were the pans old, but the non stick surface was degrading (nicked or chipped in spots, that sort of thing), and I really didn't know if they were even safe to use any more. I did some research here on GW (checked out Scanpan, All Clad NS, Swiss Diamond, Le Creuset SS NS, etc.) and spoke with some of the guys at a nearby cooking store (one of whom is a good friend of ours and has and loves his Scanpan--his family uses theirs every day). I liked what I'd read and heard about Scanpan's performance (also, they are DW safe, you can use metal utensils in them, they are oven safe, and you can brown/sear in them, too). I've only used it once since I got it a couple weeks ago, just to try it out (nothing sticky so I can't speak for it's NS qualities!) and it was spotless just from a rinse, before I even touched it with the sponge. DH used it to make himself some eggs recently and said "I like the new pan." I guess that's good enough for me!

Every morning my Inbox is filled with offers from sites where I have signed up. The best for me has been Groupon and I have gotten some great deals there. However, I only buy things I have been thinking of getting anyway. I really need to "unsubscribe" from some I never use.

Thanks for the tip, Moni. I learned about Woot on the CF and got a great deal on a steam cleaner.

I used to be cautious about signing up for things but not anymore.I have one email address for that kind of stuff and mark it all spam so I usually don't see it in the inbox anyway.
I have several email accounts for business, one for friends, one for shopping, etc.

I've spent my fair share on Woot and Groupon. Love Woot t-shirts. We pick up oddball things on dealgenius.com, too. I bought a peppermill for $5.99. It works really well, so I ordered two more when they came up on 2nd Chance.

Katie, aren't Woot t-shirts the BEST. We own a bunch. A lot of them are internet inside jokes. The one that we love best (bought two) is a 'Visit Your National Parks', with the father showing his kid, 'Look son, a tree!' while he is looking down at his gameboy.
