a block of cream cheese covered with a jar of cranberry chutney, or other flavorful spicy-jammy condiment, with Nut Thins, or other interesting cracker

phyllo cups (freezer section) filled with blue cheese, baked at 350 until the cheese melts (10 min?) then topped with a dab of fig preserves. Better when warm, but still good at room temp.

**Mini Greek Salad on a stick - feta, olive, cuke, tomato stacked on a toothpick or mini skewer

Super easy + serves 100 = bars.
I mean, you want something you can stir up in a big batch, pour into a ban, bake, then cut into squares instead of anything which needs individual prep.

I haven't made these but here is one idea from epicurious. Others may have good t&t recipes.

Cheese Bread Bars

An assortment of olives, toasted nuts and some smoked oysters.
No cheese and not an antipasto tray just the things that aren't represented well on the list although maybe skip the oysters if tuna and such is coming.

Ahh Alexa sorry you aren't feeling well. Some easier hors d'oeuvre to make are toasted baguettes with different toppings. Pesto(basil leaves,pecans,garlic cloves and olive oil made in a food processor)topped with sundried tomatoes and a thin shaving of parm.
Marinated Artichokes. Drain cans of Artichoke hearts, set aside. In a bowl mix chopped garlic,olive oil, finely chopped dill,parsley, and basil along with a diced red pepper. Add hearts, cover and put in fridge overnight. Serve at room temp.
Small pre-made pastry cups can be filled with olive tapenade then topped with chopped egg and green onion.

This is my favorite for something that has to sit out and add a little substance to a appetizer buffet of cheese, veggies and fruit skewers!
But, Alexa if you are having flu-ish symptoms you shouldn't be preparing food for anyone!...
Snackers
1 ring Dutch Balogna ( about a pound )
2 medium yellow onions ( about the size of a baseball)
Slice and layer in a crock or straihgt sided bowl
In a sauce pan place 1 c. cider vinegar, 1 cup water and 3/4 c sugar and 1 tsp mustard seed ( whole). Bring to a boil and pour over meat and let stand un refigerated for 24 hours. Serve with cocktail rye.

This one is simple, simple, simple. But amazing good. Just three ingredients. Everyone loves them.

But then again what isn't to like about bacon. Even good served at room temperature.

Bacon Cream Cheese Roll Ups
1 loaf white bread, crust removed
1 tub whipped cream cheese
1 pound bacon, cut in half

Preheat oven 350
Cut each slice of white bread in half. Spread with cream cheese. Tightly roll each piece of bread, wrap with half a piece of bacon. Secure with toothpicks.

Arrange roll ups in a single layer on a pam sprayed cookie sheet. Bake 30 minutes, or until bacon is crispy.

Thanks for all the inspiration, everything sounds delicious! I went to the DR and it turns out this is all allergies, so not contageous, I just feel like poop.

Salami roll ups. Cream cheese with chives with a bit of horseradish added and mixed well. Genoa salami sliced. Place some cream cheese onto the salami, roll up, slice at an angle. Can secure with pretty toothpicks or just let the cream cheese serve as the "glue".

I've made this before at a baby shower. It was fun to put together, looked really pretty and tasted good! Rosemary skewers with salami, olives, artichoke hearts, fresh mozzarella and balsamic drizzled over.

I, for one, am breathing a huge sigh of relief that you're not contagious. And, as an allergic/asthmatic, that you're likely to feel much better very quickly. That's the good thing about allergies, it doesn't take a lot to get them back on track. You might get really sleepy, but you'll get fixed pretty quickly.

Crustless quiche squares.
Mix eggs, milk, a little flour, veggies/meat of your choice (I'm thinking spinach, roasted red pepper, garlic...)
Dump the whole thing in pans and bake until set.
Cut into bite sized pieces and arrange on a platter.

Refrigerate until about 1/2 hour before serving time and they should be just about room temp.

Easy!!

Another is to bake an entire half sheet pan full of a savory cookie crust (or packaged crescent dough if you're really feeling awful). Cool, the spread with herbed cream cheese and finely chopped veggies. Cut to size.
