My dog was much better during the day. The last day before he died, I was up all night with him. My boys had a soccer game and it was only 5 minutes up the road. My pooch had been suffering all night for about 5 nights. I had no intention of taking him to the game because he was not doing well. We knew the end was coming, but we couldn't bring ourselves to put him down. He was my sidekick. I lost him a year ago and I miss him desperately every single day. (I found one of his hairs in a purse that I hadn't used in a while just yesterday, and almost lost it.) Anyway, my plan was to run my boys to the game, and come back to stay with my pooch. Even though he had suffered all night, when he saw my boys with their soccer jerseys on, he got up and went to the door. He decided that he was coming to the game, and I brought him with us. Dogs are curious when it comes to pain. They seem to suffer significantly more at night than in the day. Maybe the daily distractions make their pain more bearable. I don't know. Hopefully this is not what your doggy is suffering from, but I think that the symptoms do warrant a vet visit.

I agree with the “Oil vs Grease” if the gear case is designed for “Oil vs Grease. Caked/Dried and Powdered grease is new to me. Possibly saying there was a problem from heat or Etc from excessive use. I saw no signs of heat on rubber seals or metal, (that makes it all puzzling. Grease turned to powder in a sealed bearing in the gear box was new to me. Why is a sealed bearing in a gear box with grease greasing gears???. Different levels of heat are is all I can visualize and knowing some individuals, equipment has no limits of use…Then there is the quality of grease even if there is miss-use. As A “Help Your Neighbor Volunteer”, I’ll have to adjust my help. Plus, Technology is pushing me out. I retired in 03 and owed it to myself to slow a little “But Not Completely”! Have some Fun but not Stress!!!

Wow, thank you for all of your comments. ncrealestateguy, the house was listed up front as a "notice of default opportunity". From my research I've gathered that her mortgage company issued the NOD in 2017 and there is an NOS that was issued in January 2018. I'm not sure if this means the foreclosure process has officially started or not. I'm assuming she is trying to get the home sold on the market before that happens. Denita, I am not aware that the seller is contesting the lien, but it was only disclosed to us on her counter offer, and all the line item said was "Electric solar system through the HERO program". It didn't ask us to do anything with it.
