I tried the tape last night and again this morning. I only did ½ mile each time. I've just really let myself get into bad shape! I used to always have toned muscles in my legs even when I didn't walk, but I guess all this inactivity at my new job is showing up!! I can feel a little burn in my legs with just the ½ mile. I think tomorrow I will do the entire mile.(entire mile??? I used to think 1 mile was nothing! LOL) Do you do any step exercises, Vickey? I used to walk at the school track which is around the football field. I would walk 1 mile and then do steps on the bleachers. The muscles in my calfs started getting too big, so I stopped doing the steps! I do have a step here at home and I think I will start doing a few steps to music. I figure any movement is better than no movement! And since I do have some weight to lose the activity will help! I am looking forward to adding the belt exercise to the mile walk. I hope it will help strenghten my abs. But I think it will help tone my upper arms, and I really need toning there too! MaryAnn

Seems to be lot's of walkers out there. I love doing the 3 mile Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone when it's nasty ourside. During nice weather, I have a route that I walk in our small community. It never fails though, I start out alone, but by the time I finish my laps, quite a few other ladies will join in. Some pushing a stroller, some walking their dog, I think everyone looks forward to our time out-and-about. We always have a good time on our walks. Pam.

Wow Ivette - $4K! That's outstanding! How can you call yourself 'a mess' when you've done that? What's the cause? And taxes?... Celtic, how can you call yourself a procrastinator when you've got them done? I haven't even started yet! I positively *hate* doing taxes. An update on the school 'thing' -- I talked with the director of our private school, and she pretty much nixed the low-functioning class as too low, and the high-functioning class as already full. She said she'd look into the various class mixes, but I didn't hear much hope. I've started the process toward public school enrollment, and brought DS by the school yesterday when I dropped off his information. He got to meet the diagnostician and the principal, and was thoroughly charming, shaking hands, saying "nice to meet you Mrs. ___" and remembering names. It'll be interesting to see what kind of placement they propose for him. It could be a great opportunity for him - being around more typically-developing children in a typical classroom for the first time ever. But it will also be a challenge to his self-esteem, and if we go that route, he will be forced to confront his differences. Scary all around. Is everyone still here? KitchencrazyChris? Starpooh? Here's a theory......either he did some overlapping with video, or there are channels in the tank that the fish are swimming in. You can see at certain times how shallow the water is and the fish appear to have difficulty swimming. I would never say they're trained...........
