Picking parent plants with certin qualities you want to pass on is the main key, I think. As for height, DL's are like people some are tall and some are short, even with the more modern ones. Spiders tend to be taller, and mini's well they are self explanitory. I think a lot of the older ones are taller cause mabey their genes are closer to the tall ditch lilies.
